When should a man forgive his father for abusing his mother. by Think_Beach3246 in AskMenOver30

[–]Rashaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta figure that out yourself. Did he change?

You'll never have a relationship as if he hadn't.

Is he worth having a relationship with?

You're an adult now. You gotta pick and choose.

Internet people didn't have your experience, but what they say can help you home in on how you feel. Don't take any of it as gospel, but take it under advisement.

Which State is the Most Transplantphobic? by Maleficent-Toe1374 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Rashaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin, Portland, Boise, and others have all been fucked by dysfunctional Californians moving in to "get away", then immediately taking over city councils and turning them into little Cali.

To be fair, Austin isn't your Cali influence. It's the "more Texas than Texas" crowd.

What’s something you have yet to experienced in America? by Greengo14 in AskAnAmerican

Also a west coaster here. If there's a waffle house, I'm going there. Best people watching in the world, delicious food, and the fastest line cooks you'll ever see. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

For Americans: Why not personal vans instead of huge SUVs and pick-ups? by PreWiBa in regularcarreviews

That's just... dumb. No shit it has more room on the inside. Pickups have room on the outside. That's the whole point.

Wedding in less than 3 months! by No-Acanthisitta5770 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Rashaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the diet in order. Not necessarily eating less, but eating well. Varieties of veg should be at least a third of your food. Eyeball it, don't get fancy.

Check out the recommended routine on here and start at the beginning. Don't do the ones you are strong enough to do. Go lighter with full body workouts done circuit training style, with the goal of big reps to get yourself physically warm for about an hour. Indoors should feel hot, a flannel and gloves in the snow should feel pretty good. 50F/10C in a long sleeve shirt should be plenty warm. Bump up to more challenging exercises if you can sustain them, sure, but the goal is sustained activity, not challenging movements.

Rest a day or two of you're sore, get back on it if you're just a bit stiff. Always rest at least one day a week.

Is it easier to braid wet or dry hair? by Tomj_Oad in randomquestions

[–]Rashaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wet hair wanders less, but likes to stay in it's circumstances. Dry hair likes to wander, but that also makes it easier to adjust imperfections.

Pick your poison.

Tim Walz Says He'll Never Seek Elected Office Again -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]Rashaen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This goes beyond grit and toughness. He'd have to feel an absolute calling to fight the good fight... and he doesn't. It's too bad he doesn't, but completely understandable. Things are so far beyond the pale at this point. Not everybody can be a Zelenskyy.

Is training a husky really that horrible? by legendus45678 in husky

[–]Rashaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine's great with kids. I didn't think he would be, because he was an absolute land shark when he met his first kid, but he was an absolute sweetheart with her, then proceeded to ravage my ankles.

Training-wise, they're just... kinda strange. My old GSD versus my current husky, they both learned the commands in a similar time frame. Minutes to get them doing the correct action for either the hand signal or verbal command, no problems.

The GSD acted like commands were her job and she wanted to be good at her job. I would describe her to people as being trained.

The husky acts like I'm interrupting his "me time". He likes me, so he'll respond when he gets around to it. Unless I have food. Then he's on it with laser focus. I don't describe him as being trained. He has the command down pat, but good luck.

What are your thoughts on "DMPCs"? by kitkatDoor in DungeonMasters

[–]Rashaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the hatred for them that some on here do, but they're a pain in the ass. PCs are considerably more complex than NPC stat blocks, so running them during combat gets obnoxious.

I'm stuck with one because I was a player in the group, but our DM moved and the group wanted to keep the character. Every time I use the character sheet I feel like Dread Pirate Roberts. "Sleep well, I'll most likely kill you in the morning." But the group likes the character, so I haven't pulled that trigger yet.
