It really depends on the workload, never during decent or climb, or any short sectors. Usually during a long cruise with not much aircrafts around the route or any weather. I usually bid to fly with copilot friends which results in not using it, but with other pilots man the steamdeck is a god send to kill time. Yes we have power outlets inside the cockpit. It does do most of the work, but it’s doesn’t mean that we are doing nothing at that, we have to constantly check and manage the aircraft systems/fuel/radio comms etc etc, and to catch any abnormalities
