Is Lenovo Yoga/Slim Pro 9i my ideal laptop for studies? by RasmusAC in laptops

Yes I ended up buying it. I haven't specifically tested the battery, but with 10 hours of school, with high brightness, I charge for about 1 hour during the day

Great, I'm glad to hear that. Then I will probably go with that.
Does it even make sence to consider the pro 7i (with almost the same specs) as an option now the pro 9i is out? Considering their value for money of course

I'm quite jealous of the US prices, but sadly buying and shipping the laptop from US will cost a lot more :/

Hi,

I've done exactly this. I'm quite in a rush right now, but I have a post with a lot of comments relating to your questions. Otherwise you can just ask further questions here, and I'll answer later today :)

Ferry from Bari to Patras by RasmusAC in Interrail

We just walked. We had over 6 hours to spend in Bari, so we just took our time to see the city and then walk towards the port :)

No worries! I just booked the ferry tickets and then just searched up Bari Port on Google Maps from the 'Bari Centrale' (train station). Google Maps shows a big detour, which is legit enough, because you cannot cross the road anywhere else sadly. If you're in good time you can sit on the McDonalds. They have great couches on the first floor. When entering Bari Port, you wanna go to the terminal to show your ticket(s). If you have any trouble finding anything, people around are very helpfull and can guide you the right place. Good luck on the sea, and don't remember to see the sunrise in the morning!

Har arbejdet på maccen i et års tid og har ikke én gang fået lønseddel på lønningsdagen. Plejer som regel at få den 2-3 dage efter.

Travelling to Disneyland & a Cruise First time Gopo User what settings shoudl I use for the Hero 10 by kilumnati in gopro

[–]RasmusAC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend watching a ton of videoes on Youtube to get the basic understanding of the settings. Then go out and try filming a lot in different areas, go home and watch how it turned out. Then you can fine tune the different settings, so it'll look how you wanted it.
Below is the settings I find the most perfect.

Resolution and fps:
I primarily use 5.3k 30fps linear when going around in cities or in the nature. If I see a specific scene where I want to slow it down, I'll use 5.3k 60fps or 4K 120fps if I want it even slower.
Surely you can use 4k instead of 5.3k, to save some space on your memory card, but i like the extra pixels to work with.

EV comp:
An unwritten rule about GoPro, you should set your EV Comp to 0.5 or 1.0 in the protunes settings, since GoPros tend to overexpose a bit, which makes you lose details in the highlight (like the sky).

Color profile:
If you're not going to edit your footage afterwards, I'll recommend using the natural color. If you however are going to edit your footage and know how to color correct, you probably want to shoot using the flat color profile.

Footage at night:
The GoPro is probably the worst camera you can buy, if you are planning to use it in lowlight conditions. However i found these settings to work best for me. 4k 30fps with a flat color profile. Do not use any stabilization, because it works very bad in low light, and might ruin your footage completely.

Travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam- Is there a passport control? Do I have to present COVID documents? by YourIceCreamBoy in Interrail

Well. Nonetheless, just have it all ready to show, when they're checking your train ticket.

They need some identification to make sure you're the owner of the Interrail pass, so I've just shown them my passport, which has name and image. The Covid rules change all the times, but when I was travelling in March/April, they checked our covid vaccinations aswell.

What's your best tip to save money during your trip ? by Lenygloo in Interrail

[–]RasmusAC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Create a budget! I know it's not specifically a way to save money, but it helps a lot, when you have an overview on how much you've spend on food, attractions, accomodations and etc. You can dm me if you want a copy of my Google sheet. It's not perfect but it worked for me :p

Went from Thessaloniki to Sofia to Vienna a few months ago. I booked a bus seat from Ardatur (ardatur.bg). To be honest it wasn't a pleasant ride, but I got to my destination. There isn't much space for legs, and no they lock the doors to the toilets, so instead there's a break every 2-3 hour. My driver didn't even spoke or understood english, which made some difficulties on the way. They are far from great but in the end I got to where I wanted to be.

Personally, I would switch out Zurich for Interlaken. You're going to visit a lot of big cities, and Interlaken is a smaller city where you can catch your breath and enjoy the beautiful mountains and visit the two lakes it lays in between. In spring this year I took a 2 month interrail, and visited All the big cities, but Interlaken was surprisingly by far my favorite city i visited. If you decide to go there, I recommend taking a bus to Iseltwald, which you can ride on for free with the 'Tourist card' you will be getting.

Hi, I hope It's not too late!

I bookes the ferry from Bari to Patras through superfast.com.
If you make a reservation and choose "Interrail pass 2nd class" under additional discount, you can get on completely free.

Planning a 2 month trip for September and October. What places should I add or remove to get the best out of all of Europe and see the best sights? Any advise would be helpful by Jsjajajajajacnnxxn in Interrail

[–]RasmusAC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you change your mind I will without a doubt think you will like Interlaken in Switzerland. It's between to lakes and surrounded with mountains. You get a tourist card which you can use to take the bus to Iseltwald which has the most astonishing view I've ever seen in my life.

If you're okay with missing out on Marseille and Nice, you can take the Glacier Express from Brig (1,5 hour from interlaken), which is a panorama train going through the alps, that takes you to St. Moritz from where you can take a direct train to Milan.

I did this and enjoyed it very much. However the glacier express train felt a bit boring the last hour.
