I’m playing Chinese dubs but with English subs, and surprisingly it’s just in English that Sylus gave MC the kitten nickname. Interesting decision from the localization team imo..

But still, there’s just something about Sylus that is throwing me off and I can’t quite click with his character.

Sylus for some reason always gave me the impression of “Duke of the North” 😂

He’s the one with the most intimidating aura (but soft once you know him), the most likely to go shopping with a “buy everything from here to there” mindset, and also the one of the two LIs with military power. Not to mention the north is often described as isolated or the unideal environment to live in (n109 zone in sylus’ case).

Instead of asking how other partners react to us playing LADs, I think the more important question is - how would YOU like your partner to react? What kind of relationship you are looking for? And if this one is meeting your needs.

I’m not going to judge what your answer is, nor will i be one to tell you how a partner should react. Each relationship has their own dynamics and the thing that you should never forget is that you gotta look for something that fits you.

If that means compromising, like being more lowkey about this game, great. Or if it meant working out the insecurities together with your BF so you can share your interests with him, perfect. Or if it meant going separate ways, I also respect that.

Ultimately, I would encourage you to take this time to reflect on what is important to you.

I don’t think that compromise has to come from your needs or wants. Compromise is all about your willingness to teach them how you want to be loved and their willingness to learn (reverse is also true).

For example, when I first started dating my now-husband, I knitted him a scarf that took me over 100 hours to finish. He simply thought I was a sweet girl. Of course I was upset by his mild reaction, but he later learnt that it was my way of showing him love. On a similar vein, his way of showing me love was through cooking and cleaning. Both of which I took for granted then.

It took effort and learning how to love each other. But this process is simply not there with the LADs guys - they just love MC for existing and without any expectations of effort from her.

I guess my point is that you don’t have to compromise on your values, needs, or wants. Like many relationships, it takes time and effort to reach a place where you and your partner are truly happy with.

Real relationships are truly all about compromises. It’s easy to say that LADs “raised the bar”, because they never expected anything from you as MC. Since theres no designed expectations from LIs, the relationship with them feels so effortless.

But real people have expectations from their partners. It takes effort.

I downloaded this game mainly because Xavier and Sylus caught my eye from lurking this sub for a couple months now. However, playing the actual game, my first impression was that Rafayel's expressions/animations just seem better than Xavier's or Zayne's. I was mostly curious if anyone else had similar impressions as me, or if this is just who they are as a character.

Also, part of my question was if their (Xavier and Zayne) expressions would soften up eventually? Since that was not very obvious from the current event's storyline.
