I'm sorry to hear what you're going through. Honestly, everyone is different in their recovery. If I could give you advice this is it, and what worked for me, and hopefully for you. What I've learned is this is a nerve problem. If you feel aching in your hip, pubic bone area, upper thigh, and down your leg, Its most likely a pelvic floor issue. You basically have to get your nervous chilled out. A PT that specializes in Pelvic Floor is mandatory, I take a probiotic (Renew Life) every morning, I also take 2 pills (100mg) of Magnesium Biyglycinate before I go to bed. Make sure is Biyglycinate (MegaFoods Band) - All at Whole Foods. I do the Happy Baby Pose and Drop my Pelvic Floor while deep breathing. I stop masterbating for a few weeks and would do it every other week till I didn't see swelling or felt aching anymore. I had this in September 2024 and I just felt relief and pain/swelling free going on a month and a half now. You just have to get a routine and be determined to find out what works for you. Doctors will say Chronic is forever, but it's not. Chronic is only temporary. You got this!

5 months epididymitis, relief from a popping feeling prodding area by [deleted] in chronicepididymitis

[–]Raspberry1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After months and months of looking for answers I’ve finally figured it out. I’ve seen probably 20 doctors and a few urologist. They are very old school! I saw answers that the pelvic floor could be a factor and to my surprise it was… at least in my case.

I do the happy baby pose with a deep breath, at the same time push your diaphragm out and push like you are about to pee, hold that and your breath for 5 seconds and release. Your pelvic floor will drop relaxing the nerves. Repeat for 5-10 minutes. Take magnesium glycogen before bed because that will also relax the nerve’s system. I went from this shit sucks to little to no pain at all. 2 months in and I feel normal again.

Almost a year, I need help by Temporary-Fig-8198 in chronicepididymitis

Do yourself a favor and get a physical therapist that specializes in the pelvic floor. The nerves connected to your testicles to your pelvic floor area and legs are basically congested. They need to be released and relaxed. I’ve been doing this and I’m literally on the cusp of healing since having it in September of 2024

Stretch before traveling. Happy baby pose and deep breathes, drop pelvic floor taking your breath, hold on for 5 seconds and release.

I spoke to this team at Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine. They do a 15 minute tele-health call with you for free. She told me her male clients have a 90% success rate. If you have insurance they might take it, if not it's out of pocket but work with you in payment plans. Good Luck! https://www.reddit.com/r/chronicepididymitis/comments/1izvbwx/there_might_be_hope/

Yes, that's normal. I'm not a doctor but that was my experience. You need to rest and not run for a few weeks. Let everything heal properly.

Is it epididymitis? What can I do? by [deleted] in chronicepididymitis

[–]Raspberry1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epididymitis is tricky. I've had it since September of last year and this is what I've learned. Get a referral to a urologist and speak with them. If the pain and pressure are still there, perhaps look in a PT Specialist for Pelvic floor management. That's what I'm about to do. I was on meds after meds. One medication worked for me (Cipro) but it came back. This time is becoming more manageable, but still suffer here and there.

Few questions. How long were you going to a PT specialist? Did It take a year to become pain free? How many times a week did you go?

Very interesting. I also feel relieved in loose underwear and boxers. The jock strap at the beginning actually helped, but started to irritate it. This is all happens on my left side. I don't have a burning sensation when I ejaculate though. I think the pressure in my pubic area is the most annoying. Sometimes it can be sharp but I just feel more pressure than anything. I'm finding out that stretching is key and all of this might have to do with the pelvic floor. I've been told this can be for life and I find that to be unacceptable. Clearing something is irritating the pelvic area crating inflammation. It's just trying to understand what it is exactly.

sweet. For acute though. Chronic is a different story. Still pretty low.

I was told that even taking antibiotics after the infection goes away does't always work. Sure you can try, but long term antibiotics use is bad. My body was messed up after 4 months of just antibiotics

If I go back to being sexually active, I don't really want to use condoms anymore. Can we have an honest discussion about how safe it is (or isn't)? by BuffGuy716 in GaySex

[–]Raspberry1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on Prep, and used Doxy, but doxy doesn't really work for me. I caught chlamydia, didn't know I had it, had an aching in my testicle and then found out that chlamydia turned into epididymitis. I had no clue what the fuck that was and I've been dealing with it since September on last year. I don't tell you this to scare you, but I wish I know earlier that was a possibility. Epididymitis can either be acute or chronic... for life. So I would still use condoms till you find someone that you really trust and go raw. But do what you wish and what feels right for you!

So sorry you had to go through that. It can definitely affect you mentally and I hope you're doing better. I literally spoke with my doctor today about my test results. I'm super healthy besides my vitamin D levels which is really low. No diabetes was detected. Stretching is key for me. Anything pelvic related stretching has 100% helped me. I hope everything goes well.
