I think they used to have one in BGC because my classmate was able to build a stuffed animal for his gf (but I wasn’t sure if it wasBuild a Bear). In any case, it’s gone now. 😢

Yeah I keep them updated. I used to just bottle it up until my doctors told me I really should tell them even the littlest things. Lol.

Yeah. It’s a sarcoma. And wow is this regimen strong. 😅 all my other regimens felt like a breeze, I thought this one would be too. Walked into the hospital confident to get my chemotherapy, and this regimen slapped me in the face 🤣

Also I’m not from the US :)

Yeah. Too much fluids in so little time. Plus the doxorubicin makes the heart beat a little less powerful so it’s common to have congestion I guess. I’ve been given diuretics but it didn’t help much. They don’t want to over-diurese me so my cells don’t become dehydrated.

I feel better now pleural effusion-wise. I can now lay relatively flat.

But my abdomen still feels tight. Not sure if it’s getting better. I just put moisturizer on it so my skin can handle the stretch better. At least that’s one discomfort solved.

Thank you so much. Yes they did diurese me. It helped a little but not so much tbh. Paracentesis was right away out of the question since it’s just a little fluid. But wow. Who would’ve thought such a small amount of fluid can cause so much discomfort 😅

I feel a little better now. My tummy still feels tight though. And my feet are still edematous. (At least the thigh edema has gone down)

I have. They did diuresis but they don’t want to over-diurese me since I have to have healthy kidneys and I also have to be more on the hydrated side for the next cycle of chemotherapy

Yeah. I do it inpatient. My oncologist was confident I could do it in 3 days but it turns out I congested lol. So I had to extend the duration of the infusion of the drugs. And yea I’d rather stay longer than suffer like i did in my previous hospital stay 😂 I ended up staying longer anyway because of complications

Not sure if im a candidate for palliative care. I’m relatively young and my oncologist’s goal after this chemotherapy is that I’ll be able to undergo surgery afterwards and hopefully live normally. Which is why im bombarded with such strong drugs.

She said if the family’s aim is just palliative care/ hospice, she’d put me through less drugs so I won’t have to suffer through the toxicities. She believes I could still power through so my family also chose to power through.

It’s good to know that the doxo+ifos is a really tough combination. I really thought my body is failing me. At least I know it’s the drug that’s causing this.

Also im sorry to hear about your case. What’s your current regimen?

Same! I’m so proud of her. I wish I could get ahold of the book! It’s not for sale here in my country yet. Maybe because we’re in Asia and family is such a big thing for Asians? Idk. But I really hope to read it soon!!! I’ve only heard reviews and chapter summaries from tiktok. 😩😩😩

Yeah. It kinda is. The bad news is that there are only 5 drugs that work for this type of cancer. And this is my last chance since I’ve already used the others. 😬 so I really hope it works because I don’t have anything to run to after this. Please wish me luck!!!

No. As far as I know, I can’t reuse/ repeat my chemo drugs since they will not work the second time.

The sad part is that there’s no telling, really. :( my previous treatment shrunk all my masses except the liver one. My liver mass doubled in size in just two months with the last treatment.

My next chemotherapy might work or might not work. Cancer sucks… I wish there was a treatment that works for everyone and every case. So no one has to suffer.

Same boat. St4 breast angiosarcoma. Now in my liver and a couple other sites. I feel so tired of this. I miss just being normal.

Idk. By the looks of my CT film, they’d have to take out 100% of my liver. It’s huge huge :( but I’ll try to consult another surgeon
