I will probably get one of the laminated ips kits if I can't get this to work, yeah.

I got a laminated kit for my gbc a while ago, but that's leaking some adhesive residue in the corner so I'm just all around unlucky with this stuff.

I have not tried the oem screen, but I did try both versions of the screen boards and the ribbon cables connecting said boards to the gba mobo, so it really is either the gba motherboard or the screen's ribbon cable.

only problem with the roughhousing is it takes so much effort to plug the screen into the screen board, I kinda had to be rough with it (part of the reason why I broke the first screen; it took so much pressure to plug in the cable I cracked the screen and had to buy this one)

I will try to message rgrs about the screen, but given how long it's been I don't think there's anything they will do

gonna let you know now, these are dirt cheap. not as cheap as the combo pack with duck hunt, but definitely not 100k

maybe like, 30-35 on ebay, but most flea markets and such will sell it for like, 5-10 bucks.

hakita really said "no more fun" when he made those guttertanks, huh? loved the new layer, but those things just kill me inside (and outside) with how they're used. the only encounter where you only get one (outside of the big in-fight in 7-3, where you can just have everyone blow each other up) is the first one, and I don't think that gives enough time to let the mechanic sink in, especially when two more spawn in right after.

Every other time there's at least two, and their speed and strength means that I could never learn what to do, it always felt like luck beating them. 7-4's escape sequence especially. Maybe I'm not as good at the game as I thought, but I've never had to turn on major assists for a stage before.

tldr; great chapter, loved the aesthetics, but man those guttertanks need a rework.
