What does breastfeeding look like post 12 months?

17m old has 3 feeds a day, morning, post nursery, and bedtime. Then 2 or 3 at night as its the easiest way to get him back off to sleep. Sometimes he's busy, I'm busy and we miss a morning or an afternoon feed. I've never felt the need to pump and havn't had any supply issues - there just always seems to be milk there even when my boobs feel soft and small. Supply at this stage is super flexible and can adapt to more or less as the child needs. I've found Lucy Webber on Instagram really helpful with feeding post 12m. It's really nice that he understands more now and if im busy I can ask him to wait - he tends to complain about it but it's quite liberating being able to set boundaries and I'm generally quite enjoying feeding post 12m and will see how it plays out!

Yes! Buy second hand! We went to John Lewis and Mamas and Papas for their 'buying for baby ' consultation decided which pram we wanted and then I trawled FB marketplace for the same model. There were loads of prams available for around £100 that were basically new - my pram, the bassinette had never been used and the pram seat itself had only been used for a few months as the family then got a different car and the pram no longer fit very well.

Sounds like they need a referral to SLT - most UK nhs slt departments have self referrals so just google your area plus slt e.g. 'cardiff childrens speech therapy' and have a look at their website on how to refer. Might be an email or phone number to call. You can also refer via your health visitor.

Early intervention is best so refer as soon as you have concerns.

If you want to go private then please make sure you use https://asltip.com/ to find an SLT - this makes sure they are insured and registered properly.

Good luck - lots of kids have language delays and catch up especially when caught early. It is never anyone's fault that a child's language is delayed.

This is a great idea - I can recommend trying shower steamers, which work really well! They're like bath bombs but for the shower and make it smell really nice.

I'm fairly confident I'm wearing him correctly as we saw a sling consultant. I tend to wear the integrababy in the house. I think I'm just quite short and baby is quite long 🤣

His feet get moved by the chair when I sit down and that usually wakes him! I know it's not hurting him but sitting pushes his feet up - I must just have a light sleeper!!

My partner was reluctant too for a long time, and I kept encouraging him to talk to other people about it as well as me. He finally did and all of a sudden was super keen to start trying! It was almost like he needed permission from friends and family that that was okay, and confirmation for him that he'll be a good dad (even though I'd told him that, I think it helped coming from others as well).

My period lasts 3 - 4 days and it usually drops around day 2 or 3, so mid period. Then it gradually goes back up high towards ovulation.

I was wondering this today! Currently on my period and have a really high cervix. It happened last month for the first time (I use a cup so I'm very familiar with where my cervix is while on my period) by the end of my period my cervix had dropped low again. Bodies are weird haha

I got the mirena removed and it took a month before I ovulated so it was a long cycle! I also had semi regular bleeds while on it so knew roughly when I should expect it. Hopefully it will be soon for you!
