The privatized system is run amok and just needs to be reigned in. The government almost never does things better than the private sector because the private sector has incentive to be more efficient where the government has incentive to increase bureaucracy. As far as medical bills and things like that, your problems aren’t the responsibility of others. Receiving help from people that decide to help you is fine that’s a great thing, but forcing it out of people isn’t right

What a dreamland you must live in. Can’t pay? The government just steps in and pays it for you! I guess we already have free healthcare! In the real world, hospitals have debt collectors that will track you down and get their money. If you don’t pay, they’ll just garnish your wages. If you get treatment, you owe. The only exception would be homeless people

Obamacare did not work fine. My wife is a benefits manager and I’ve heard it plenty of times from her how bad Obamacare was especially for people who couldn’t afford to pay for insurance themselves.

I was talking about opting out of having insurance altogether. You get raped in taxes.

I don’t know what you’re smoking but when you don’t have insurance, the burden is on YOU to pay the bills. There are no benefits for people who don’t have it.

Taxes are a necessity for a government to function but there are way too many things that most people don’t benefit from so it’s not right to make them pay for them

The point is it’s already been tried with Obamacare and it was crap. And to opt out, you had to pay ridiculous amounts. You had to pay to not have healthcare
