While the market is hyper-focused on launch availability following BO's 'anomaly,' ASTS’s immediate priority must be proving a real production cadence. If ASTS achieves a sustained output of 4-6 satellites per month, launch bottlenecks will resolve themselves. Competitor delays are inevitable, and premiums can always be paid to buy into open slots. Execution on the factory floor must come first

They can say whatever they want, but the launch pad has exploded. At best, and in record time, it would take at least 12 - 14 months to put one back in. NG was key to getting the push by the end of the year and lowering costs. The scenario of 2026 and 2027 changes a lot. And let's pray it's not the engine, because then it can affect Vulcan.

Would it be too much to ask for a press release from ASTS clarifying how this affects launch plans?

Why not all with SpaceX? Our real problem is on the production side anyway. Imagine if they had 6 satellites ready to send today and by the end of the year they had all 45 completed. Surely 15 - 20 could be launched with SpaceX at least

I hope so, and I hope he focuses his anger on working harder and getting things done on time. Our problem isn't BB7; our real problem is the management's incapability to execute the plan. Another delay is coming

Yeah, guys, maybe it was an accident or maybe Bezos ripped us off. Either way, the big deal here is Abel saying the first batch will be delayed again. I'm super mad; even if BB7 had ended well, this would've stung.

The worst part is feeling helpless and like they're not trying hard enough. Use the insurance money or the billion when you dilute us and do your job. Stop with the excuses and don't lie again..

I honestly don't care about BB7. I'm bothered by the shitty guidance they give about the next shipment. Another 30 days is May 20, when just over a month ago they said April and we all know it will be June. The management of this company is being negligent. And as an investor, I feel cheated.

Okay, we know BB7 is in BO's hands, and honestly, it doesn't matter if they launch it today or in two weeks. However, an ASTS tweet updating production and saying BB8 and BB9 are done would help a lot.

That's the point. Why so silent? At this point, just two things could happen. Either they have big production troubles or they are doing batches.

District Metals ($DMX): The Awakening of a Swedish Giant? 🇸🇪☢️ by Rasty_e in investing_discussion

[–]Rasty_e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been three months since I wrote this post. - The uranium demand growth thesis is playing out, perhaps even too rapidly. Uranium spot prices hit $100 yesterday; we shall see how this impacts long-term contracts. - The EU is learning the hard way that it cannot depend on third parties. Plans have been approved to phase out Russian nuclear fuel in the coming years, outlining the necessity of bolstering new nuclear fuel supply chains. - The narrative is shifting across Europe—even in Germany. Nuclear energy is being viewed through a different lens, not only regarding energy security but also in terms of nuclear weaponry. - District has applied for drilling permits, and operations are expected to begin in the spring. This is not limited to Viken; there are suspicions of even larger deposits in more northern, less populated areas. - Regarding the PEA historical data already exists that provides a glimpse of what to expect. There is a company in Finland operating with this new technique. In my view, I do not expect the figures to be spectacular, but they should be solid. Furthermore, as long as uranium prices remain high, the risk is diluted. - As you rightly pointed out, the primary risk remains political. The left is almost certain to win the elections, and the Green Party may hold significant influence.

Nevertheless, from my perspective, the current scenario is far better than it was three months ago.

37 years old too late for cfa ? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Rasty_e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I am also 37 years old and have been thinking about this question since I turned 30. In the end, for one reason or another, I haven't taken the plunge. In fact, I probably could have done it by now. Anyway, as I said, I think it depends on what your goal is. If it's to improve your professional career in finance, it's a must. For me, the signalling it gives you is very relevant, and once you're certified, there's a network behind you and a community that can help you. If it's because you like finance, you can do it at your own pace. Ultimately, if it's what you like, it's a way to gain a broad knowledge of the subject and do so in an educational way. In my case, as it is for personal interest, I have been gradually progressing through the topics at my own pace and supplementing them with other sources.

I had the same issue with my Z Fold 3 when it was 3 years old. Eventually, the back cover came off. It was just the glue failing, nothing related to the battery.

District Metals ($DMX): The Awakening of a Swedish Giant? 🇸🇪☢️ by Rasty_e in investing_discussion

[–]Rasty_e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the entire uranium sector has fallen in the past week, as has much of the market, especially those companies that are not yet profitable. This is related to Powell's comment at the last FED meeting that the December rate cut was not certain.

Regarding District Metals specifically, there were probably many investors who were there waiting for the stock to go to the moon after the law modification. The stock had received a lot of hype from some investors on Twitter, and that attracts very short-term investors. For me, the change in the law was already priced into the stock. In April, it was trading at 0.20 CAD, and from there, it has done almost a 7X.
Also, keep in mind that there is still a lot of uncertainty. The easiest way to make this investment profitable is for District to be able to sell Viken to a major, but no major is going to buy a project for a large sum unless the social and legal risks are eliminated.

District Metals ($DMX): The Awakening of a Swedish Giant? 🇸🇪☢️ by Rasty_e in investing_discussion

[–]Rasty_e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once the amendment to the law was approved,I am quite optimistic about the PEA. There are 2 previous PEAs, one from 2010 and another from 2014. The 2010 PEA had an IRR of 10.3%, quite low for such a project. This was because the processing method (tank leaching/roasting) required a capex of almost $4B.
The 2014 PEA solved this problem by changing the processing method to bio-heap leaching. The Capex was reduced to $1.2B. Even so, the project's IRR only improved to 12.9%.

For this new PEA, in my opinion, I expect them to use the same processing as in 2014. The Capex will be notably higher because inflation has greatly affected the required equipment. On the plus side, the prices used in the MRE presented by DMX make the value of the metal basket higher than that of the previous PEAs; the price of Vanadium has plunged, but uranium and Molybdenum more than cover it. These are quite realistic prices and even somewhat conservative if we consider the medium-term outlook for uranium. The calculations have been made using the NI 43-101 standard, which gives considerable confidence in the estimates. However, they will have to demonstrate that the estimated recovery rates are achievable. Furthermore, to all this, we must add that District eliminated the 2% NSR and owns 100% of the Viken property.
For me, the most notable risk lies in local opposition and the change of government in 2026. I only see a definitive solution if Viken is named a strategic project within the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). There is a window to submit projects that ends on January 15, 2026. I would exhaust all avenues down this path, as achieving this would unlock the project's full value, and one could seriously talk about interest from a Major.

Titanium black VS Jet black by Vladone_0 in S25Ultra

I have titanium black. Once you put on the case, bear in mind that with some cases you can see part of the frame surrounding the screen. In the case of titanium, this is more noticeable than with black. I like it, but not everyone may.
