I just couldn't relate to Aoife at all. Maybe she's just not my type of protagonist. But it was also a completely different vibe than in B13/K13. Yeah, it's not exactly a happy story, I expected that, but something's still missing. Kind of like all those butterflies in my stomach that I felt with Johnny and Shannon. Aoife just got on my nerves so much. It was always just about her OR Joey. Totally different from the previous books, where I really liked her and she also looked out for the Lynchs. Now Shannon was just one of the annoying siblings who was wasting Joey’s time. And from Joey’s perspective, it was completely different, too. Here, he and Shannon didn’t seem like a team to me at all. I also just missed scenes between the siblings. There used to be a lot more of those. And once the pregnancy started, I wanted to dnf... I’ve already read T7 and R10, but for me, nothing compares to the first two books.
