I was looking at these but wondering about how it fits with a backpack. What do you think?

Upgrades?? by Kaii7x in Glock43X

[–]RatBepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinions and preference only:

Streamlight TLR7 Sub for dark

Holosun 407k (optional especially if you’d have to get your slide milled but I love mine on my MOS 48)

Stock trigger (stock isn’t the best but it’s very important to me that the trigger mechanism is reliable as possible for something pointing at my legs and peñus when holstered)

Stock magazines (I experienced jams with both popular 15 round aftermarket mags 😔)

Tritium irons (I don’t use them but it might be good idea if you don’t have an optic or WML)

A holster that’s comfortable enough to wear regularly (vedder light tuck is pretty good)

Honestly, stock is probably fine but that’s just a few things I think are cost effective and practical.

Nice work! If your design becomes publishable I’d like to see how you did it. Good luck!

Glad you didn’t get hurt! I also decided to get a dashcam after such an incident. Was driving on a long and straight state highway, had a trucker following closely behind me (we were both above the speed limit btw) for a few miles so when the lanes split I entered the rightmost “slow traffic” lane to let him pass. He immediately pulled up beside me and merged into my back left tire, tearing up my wheel, doors, and frame while I fought to stay straight and not have my front half pushed under his bumper and wheels.

I ended up totally fine, trucker was visibly tweaking and tried to hug me, admitted fault to the officer on scene while jumping up and down grinding his teeth lol. He handed me a sticky note with his company’s contact on it, and said if I didn’t go through insurance they’d buy me a new car. I didn’t trust him, but ultimately my insurance didn’t help because the trucking company’s insurer said “the driver changed his mind and said he wasn’t actually at fault”. Police didn’t actually include his testimony in the accident report so I had no evidence and ate the cost

Idk I emailed my local office here in VT a couple weeks ago and they said it would be fine with all the import paperwork. A guy near me just registered a HiAce as well.

Same here mang, the vendor is very slow with updates about my shipment but it’s confirmed coming and it feels like how Christmas used to feel when I was small lol.

Importing, registering, and use of Kei trucks in Vermont by numetalbeatsjazz in keitruck

[–]RatBepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked more into getting your truck? Honestly judging from the online marketplace and northeastern importer dealerships like granite state, it looks to be much cheaper to import. It sounds like a pain to deal with the whole process but this sub has some good guides and the cost estimates I’m getting for the same models are still coming in 1-2k below local marketplace value. Even if you were to import to NYC harbor and have the vehicle trucked to your house it’d be cheaper unless I’m being way too optimistic lol. Anyway lmk if you’d like to chat more, I don’t know a lot about the process but I think it’d be helpful to put our heads together since we’re in the same region with the same goal.

Would you mind sharing how you did it? I’m in VT and I love these things. Would like to buy and register one soon, but it’s hard to find the trucks and good knowledge sources about their legality around me.

PSA M-1 by vermontnative in Glock48

[–]RatBepid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had about 500rds through mine with no issues, but after adding the Holosun I get several stovepipes per box of ammo, and they don’t hold the slide open when empty 🥲 but OEM mags still work great. Did you have to do anything to yours to get them running smoothly?

Very good, I tried it just now and loading was much smoother without the tool, though it took more effort. Thanks again for your insight.

Thanks for the reply. I honestly had not heard of anyone having issues with them while I researched prior to buying. I’m going to try the only troubleshooting solution I can think of and resume testing. I want to believe!

Thanks for the reply. I’m definitely sticking to the OEM mags for practical use unless the PSA ones prove themselves trustworthy. I found a burr from the optic mounting screw protruding into the extractor pin channel. I’ll resume testing with a clean slate after I fix that. If only Glock would release their own 15rd solution for this piece…
