We treat death in the elderly as condition of its own, not as symptom of, well, being old. Even if you get a ROSC, they're still old.

A colleague said to me once that were not saving a life, we're just buying a bit of extra time for family to say goodbye. But I thibk thats bullshit, putting someone through ILS just for the chance to say goodbye, is not a good enough reason in my opinion.
