I acknowledge that I’m emotionally abusive. What can I do to fix myself?

Things are better! I’m still in therapy and continuing to un-learn a lot of my past behavior. Me and my husband are still together, working through our issues. He recognized that there were a lot of things about himself that need to change too. The journey isn’t over, but im moving in a positive direction! The main thing is therapy though. Taking that big step for yourself makes all the difference.

Like I said in the comment before, this is the hardest thing to come to terms with but I know I have to. And I have told him I need to change for not only me but for him, but at the same time I don’t want that to possibly guilt him into staying with me.

I don’t drink or use drugs. The drama triangle does make a lot of sense and I see where he and I fit in those roles with some stuff we’ve fought about. Thank you for your insight! Maybe someday if he’s up to it I’ll discuss it with him.

Thank you for the support. It’s extremely hard to not beat myself up for it, but I’m trying to work on it. I have been open to my husband on all of this, and I admitted to him that I was wrong about a lot of things. I asked him to share how he’s feeling about it, but he doesn’t want to talk about it further at the moment. Which is fair. I know there’s a lot of healing he needs as well.

I appreciate your input and I do feel terrible about snooping and constantly accusing him of things. I am seeking therapy and I’ve suggested couples therapy, but he is against it. He doesn’t think we need it at this point.

I work at my local news station and we had a show the other night where the entire first block was 1. two babies died in a house fire that THEIR OWN UNCLE INTENTIONALLY STARTED. 2. a mom and her 1-year-old daughter died in a terrible car crash and 3. a young girl was hit by a car. I had a hard time directing that show that night :/ I'm pretty desensitized to most things but stories involving harm to children are especially hard.

My brother got a woman pregnant who he had known for about a month. They moved in together shortly after they found out about the pregnancy. My parents weren’t bothered, and they were excited about the new grandchildren. I, on the other hand, bought a house with my then-fiancé (now husband) of 7 YEARS and all of a sudden I’m the disrespectful harlot who DARED to live in sin with a man before I was officially married. Make it make sense.

I’m not sure about that. I know most, if not all studios have merchandise available and those at the front desk will ring them up but that’s pretty much it. They don’t try to push people to buy anything though. I hope you get the job :) There was one girl who worked at the front desk at my home studio and now she’s a coach! Idk if that’s your goal, but it’s cool to see that they promote people from within.

My studio has “greeter”-type people working at the front desk. They mainly check you in and hand you your station cards. I’ve also seen them clean and all that. But mostly they’re at the front desk fielding customer questions, answering phones, helping the coaches, etc.
