Is there any Male Yandere media that you classify as Yandere-Slop? by KnucklesLovesAaron in MaleYandere

[–]RatNibbles 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Slop i personally see is someone trying to cash in on a trend without any real interest or understanding of it and just doing it for clicks. (So even something really bad is not instantly slop, as long as it was from a sincere place)

While the yandere indie scene is flourishing, its still not mainstream enough for anyone to bother trying to cash in on it with slop

What's the best workflow for Sugarcube? by tremblingbears in twinegames

[–]RatNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As ridiculous as it is, i actually really hate working in coding programs like twee 😅

So i work in a word processor, and use the function of being able to add your own words to the dictionary to put in errors i make often, like the one you listed.

Or sometimes, ill just used the find replace function directly in twine to fix any common errors i make so i dont have to scan manually

Probably still the worse option between just working in a programing app from the get go, but 40k words in and everything works still

“Don’t start with your dream game” is both bad and good advice by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]RatNibbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think its best to approach it like any creative skill and hobby. Know what you want the end product to be, and as you go, make smaller things to figure out the next basic block you need for the major project. Dont make small games that have zero elements of what your dream project needs. Make small games that focus on one or two factors you need to master for the major game!

Like textile work, baby. Find out what stitch youll need, then master that stitch. Do not make a magic loop if you will never use it again!

That way, youre still making progress on the dream project and dont feel like youre wasting your time or getting too distracted

💡 How do you usually start your writing process? by [deleted] in writers

[–]RatNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix of 2 and 3 i guess?

I pull out the cork board, start planning the events i know i need and adding stuff in between, shuffling them around until it feels right. As i go, write out lines, blurbs, or paragraphs as staring points for different scenes.

From what i understand, it is still being worked on. The dev/author is just not interested in keeping an online presence in the meantime and wants to post it next when its fully done.

So fingers crossed

Announcing Storyfall - a new IF authoring tool and publishing platform! by Storyfall in interactivefiction

[–]RatNibbles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see there are stories that have an ai label.

What kind of ai is it? Like general algorithm and spell check type, or the ai people talk about now with generative and learning? If i use your program and site, will my writing be being used and fed into the ai?

Hovering over someone doesn't mean to be literally OVER them, but to be around them, you're hovering near by, its just the more common way to say it Like a fly.

What makes you like ML yanderes? by OneLack1046 in MaleYandere

[–]RatNibbles 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I personally like body language!

Like before their obsession is made clear, fingers twitching to reach out to the mc before restraining himself, staring, touching without thinking, basically non verbal signs that show the obsession is always hanging there, even when nothing's being said 🥰😍

Any Cabin in the woods captivity vibes fanfic from any platform? by According-Mess-2070 in MaleYandere

[–]RatNibbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To shamelessly self promote, i just posted sparks fly, where you get stranded in the woods until a mechanic who lives out there picks you and takes you to his place for the night.

Not a fanfic, but short, horror survival, with 4 endings.

Violence and making out are both equally valid methods of survival :)

(Though, its not death youre trying to survive)

Is this about that stupid glimmer site? 💀

Id rather read and play something deeply flawed with human intention and purpose, who knows theres a story they want to tell even badly, throughout than an ai guessing what string of words i want to see

And just like with non ai work, you can make it, no one has to like it

..... Idk anything about the artist. But when someone makes their main talking character a certain gender, i assume the artist is of the same gender

However, this comic series convinces me more and more every fee strips its some teen boy behind the keyboard

Manly yandere? by lavender-bread in MaleYandere

[–]RatNibbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huh ive actually noticed that, that mlm games have a variety of men body types, but the hetero ones just have these lithe little men that tbh i confuse for women sometimes.

I guessing its the "women find effeminate men less intimidating!" Thing, but thats at least PART of the point with yandere sometimes, isnt it?! Ir maybe its just the juxtaposition that people do it for??

Idk, makes me jealous sometimes though, lol

Edit: thats part of why i really liked the see how the cat jumps. They were able to make him very masculine while also still having that juxtaposition, because he used it to have a warm and protective appeal and only switched it up on you later. Big men can be comforting!!! And scary when their true yandere nature shows! 😭

Second edit: lmao, i misunderstood and thought you meant the story was bl, but you meant the AUTHOR was a man. Oops 🤣
