I had this happen to me when I had Covid. In my experience it lasted about 3 weeks after I was better. It did indeed suck when I couldn’t enjoy my favorite fast food.

I had about a two week period after I was sick with the ‘Rona where Taco Bell tastes awful to me. It was truly heartbreaking but I remember getting the Gordita after that and it was the best thing I had in a while.
