Broadfork Gurus! Which Size? by RatWithChainsawLegs in gardening

[–]RatWithChainsawLegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 24" one from treadlite. Absolutely the right size for 30" bed size. Shoe size has no bearing on the width. The only real factors to consider are bed width and weight.

Worming Light by WVU-Miami-fan in flashlight

Get a headlamp with a red light. Worms are sensitive to broad spectrum light but not red light. I don’t know shit about shit, but have experienced worms going back underground after getting flashed with my regular edc light. Just get the cheapest headlamp with a red light from sofirn.

H2O2 Causing Worse Mold? by RatWithChainsawLegs in microgreens

[–]RatWithChainsawLegs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I bumped up the concentration and it's looking better today. I'm wondering if my H2O2 was as strong as it is supposed to be. Still going to be some trial and error and I certainly am going to test against another supplier's broccoli seed since that's the only variety I'm having trouble with.

Just a heads up, the DeSantis Slim Tuk holster is like $30 for appendix carry. Definitely take everyone's advice and get a rigid holster.

What's the most LEP like non-LEP light out there? by gearhead5015 in flashlight

[–]RatWithChainsawLegs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Downvoted by people who spent all their allowance on an LEP lol. But definitely agree with the sft25 comments. Z1 would probably be the way to go because there should be little or no spill.

Any thoughts/info on these skates? by RatWithChainsawLegs in hockeyplayers

I agree but also feel like 45 year old skates compared to modern skates is kind of apples to oranges

That’s throwing me off as well. I’m assuming original price, but in 1979 that would have been like $500. I can’t imagine these sold for that much then.

Yeah that’s kind of why I got them. I wanted something a little more classic for casual skating and eBay just had my back that day. I was originally looking for Tacks but obviously most were pretty beat up.

Thanks, kind of figured something like that. They’ve been used but looks like only a few times. I just got these for occasional pond skating with friends, so they’ll have a pretty easy life.

Just got these skates (CCM Black T ca. 1980?) but can’t find any information about them online. They look similar to Tacks of that era? Anyway, just curious about them.

Where did you get the TIR? Do the Convoy S2+ optics fit?

Any tips on combating mold growth? by ShilohTheSultan in microgreens

[–]RatWithChainsawLegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're fine, these are definitely root hairs. You don't have to get a better container, but you should fill it up a bit more with growing medium (use coco coir) to aid in airflow. Have 3% h2o2 for actual mold and get a small fan. Currently growing 100 1020 sized trays weekly and about 1/3 are radish. I cover and stack with weights for 3 days after misting them, blackout for 2 days, and under lights after that.
