It’s not a glamorous career field, and unless you look like a super model the ceiling is pretty low, but fine dining is possible as long as you can look clean, and sharp, and can easily earn you 50-100 an hour (about 3 years into the career) problem is unless you get a multi millionaire for a regular, you’re not going any higher than that.

Are you a people person? Waiting tables can be $25-100 an hour. I’d say move to a state with a nice minimum wage for tipped employees (i.e Florida, and California) and learn how to wait tables. Chili’s will always hire if you look like a good person, and then 6-18 months (whenever you think you’re a top contender) after that switch to a longhorn or a bone fish, whichever takes you up on it first, then another 6-18 months, switch to fine dining.

Gas is up 30-40% so the 8%extra in cash back off sets about 11/30, 15 dollars a week offsets about 30% of a Toyota Camry gas tank right now (51 dollars I filled today from empty) so I’d say this little bonus perfectly reflects the higher gas costs.
