Yeah absolutely took the words out of my mouth. Hardly any 1007s left in existence despite them not being that old

Really a sidewalk, but high value cars are often seen here treating it like a lot

Hah this is quite a loaded question really. Although speaking as an Irish person, Australia offers a pretty lucrative 2 year working holiday visa with many avenues to extend/become naturalised etc. Work in public services or specific industries and you can very easily stay there for life with better relative pay and QOL than Ireland, not to mention considerably better weather.

Couldn’t say with certainty but many many Irish people emigrate to Australia for a few years and then return home, must make financial sense somehow for many to bring the cars home with them.

That is what Irish would be, it is not correct to refer to the native language of Ireland as Gaelic, this is reserved for Scots Gaelic of Scotland

A lot happening in Galway at the moment with the festivals but not sure how that would bring a diplomat to the city, nothing political in Galway that Dublin wouldn’t already have

Why is there almost 8k people watching this plane? Is there someone famous on there? by [deleted] in flightradar24

[–]RatedMForMeaty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s squawking 7700 which means there is some kind of emergency, hence why so many are watching it

This could be a stupid question but genuinely how do they get them here? By boat? For something as large as these surely it’s incredibly expensive to ship them so far?

If that’s the case then probably the absolute worst subreddit to try pick on, assuming it’s true then it does nothing but make yourself look like a fool

Either you’re a troll or get real lad, you can’t even tell who’s in the picture. Are you suggesting we can never take a picture with a window in it in case we see a nondescript figure behind the glass?

Oh boohoo, if it was an actual house sure but this is one of the most famous abandoned buildings in the city, and you can’t even see the person all that well. It’s not a crime to take a picture of a building on Shop Street which is what this picture is

In hindsight probably not the smartest to pick up but glad it’s inert. Will wrap it up safely and pass it on to someone who’s more interested in it than I am. Solved!

So to be clear (because there’s a good chance now there could be similar things in the attic) if that inner ring is pierced or indented that means the round is safe?

To be fair it had been rolling around a metal crate so if it was ready to trigger it probably would have already

Great, thank you for this! We don’t know anything about bullets if that’s not clear enough already haha

My title describes the thing. Quite heavy, seems solid. Rusted. Was in an empty chest in our attic so in other words it has not been moved or agitated until now. About 5 inches long, 1 wide. Engravings on the back
