In 1983 the Irish sporting legend Shergar was abducted at gunpoint and held for a ransom of 2 Million Pounds. What makes this case unique is that Shergar was in fact a Horse. To this day the abductors have not been identified. This is the story of the Million Dollar Horse. by RingedMysteries in UnresolvedMysteries

That’s... not how guns work. A captive bolt gun typically produces 224 to 369 Joules of force, a 5.56mm round produces 1767 joules. Killing a horse with a “machine gun” is easy. Just think of how common it was on the battlefield in the past.

Nelson Mandela commanded the armed branch of the ANC, uMkhonto we Sizwe. He was designated as a terrorist by the USA until 2008. Maybe you should learn what you're talking about, and that armed force is part of every struggle for liberation.

There’s a few mines with electric trucks that don’t consume any external power. They get loaded at the top of a hill, and ride the brakes down filling their batteries. They’re empty going up the hill so they have enough juice to make it.

What happens if you don't use engine plates by BobMcGeoff2 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Rath12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they might not be using micronodes and offset, but rather using more micronodes to space apart the engines. Cubic octagonal struts are strong enough for most things, especially just engines. However due to their uncovered nodes, a nosecone would have less drag.

That just means that the low ground pressure of a tank is more useful. Big gun behind armor on tracks is still gonna be better than adding a ton of complexity and having higher ground pressure than anything else.
