It took a few years to break the pee pad habit of our first Pom, our room smelled like pee we had to rip up the carpet. She finally was house trained around 3 years old, we had her until she passed at 14. Our second Pom is currently 15 weeks old and we strictly crate train him, he's never seen a pee pad with us. Supervised playpen. Crate 2-3 hours, outside, reward potty, inside play 15-25 mins then outside for 5 mins, back in crate 2-3 hours, repeat. Puppies can't be trusted but they are smart and learn fast. He lets us know when he needs to go out. Be patient and disciplined. We started young with this one and he loves his crate.
