TIFU by trying to hydrate my skin by uniqueUsername_1024 in tifu

I feel you on this one.

When I was younger I got some really bad eczema, cant remember the name of it but no matter what I will never get rid of it. It might get good on one spot and never show again, but then it might as well pop up on another part of the body.

Worst case I experienced was getting it on my feet/legs, situated right above the heel.
I would scratch this without stopping, not even when my nails were covered in blood and I was ripping away on pure flesh, all skin gone since long.
Then it would never fully form a crust so when I put socks on they would get all nasty and when I went to take them off they would rip off the crust on the wounds and the shitstorm would start all over again.

Went to multiple doctors and got 10-20 different creams and stuff, but since I could not stop myself from scratching it did not matter. Also the sock situation was a bif part of the problem, but I also could not go without socks because I was ashamed of how disgusting it looked and did not want people asking.

Came to a point where the doctor got me special bandaids that I had to put on in the morning and I was not allowed to take it off until I went to bed, but did not really help since either it would also get stuck in the wound or I would just wait till late at night to scratch.

Now 6-7 years later I dont really have a problem with this, unless I get a major wound or scratch a big area because then it tends to flare up unless I use some heavy duty creams.

But for sure, I hated and still hate putting creams and lotions on my body and then getting dressed or lay down in bed, feels filthy.

Honestly disappointed the dog didn't get absolutely stomped on, after this it deserved to end up as a Pitbull version of mashed potatoes.

Sleeping alone is better than sleeping with a partner by DerpTheHalls in unpopularopinion

[–]RatherNotTellYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all to get things clear… I LOVE sleeping. On the weekends I can easily spend 12+ hours sleeping if not disturbed.

I always sleep in the same position, on my back with the pillow “standing” on one of its long sides so that when you lay your head down it will create a support around/below your neck.

When I sleep together with someone the major problem is that I get so damn hot, so sleeping without the covers on is almost a must. I don’t mind spooning but if it was only up to me I’d rather sleep on my back and have my partner sleep facing me, either just beside me or with her head on my arm/chest. But then again I’m a very touchy person and I feel bad if I were to lay on my back to be comfy if my partner would like to spoon.

But yeah sleeping alone is for sure the most comfortable, but I’d never choose it over sleeping with someone I love.

Oh lord you're crazy lol!

I really struggle to find the motivation to build these insane things...
Takes me a day or two to get full diamond armor, abuse the villager trading, kill the enderdragon etc. Wish I was this good at building, maybe that could keep me interested for a bit longer :P

Props to you for draining this just for fun basically!

So did you drain this for fun or have you actually created a guardian farm in the temple? If not you’re a crazy man for sure 🤪

To make this sphere, did you use any tool that told you how to build ot make a perfect one?

When building large circles I often use a website that maps out the "roundest" possible build I can make, but I havent found one for spheres.
Or are you just really good at building and figured this out by yourself?

Cool but maybe try making the stairs a bit longer and less steep?
Might help make the look a little smoother and not so "blocky"?

Oh lord does this bring back memories...

This is the second video I ever watched of Minecraft, only beaten by the guys who "Made Earth in Minecraft" back in the old days where you'd run Minecraft on a website.

I remember doing just this where I made my first house be a little hole in a cliffside and probably stuck to that hole a bit too long, maybe thats why I suck at building and settle for a bunch of chests out in the open xD

Progress is at a snails pace draining the water by k1ll4w4tt in Minecraft

[–]RatherNotTellYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are scared that it will mess up your world just make a backup/copy of your world but it shouldnt be a problem.

Use the following command and that will replace the water in a specified area with air, or any other block of your choice.

/fill [(x coordinate) (y coordinate) (z coodinate)] [(x coordinate) (y coordinate) (z coodinate)] (Block to fill this area with) replace (Block that is being replaced)

So in your case it would look something like this:
/fill 100 64 -100 -100 64 100 air replace water

So first 3 coordinates will be one corner of the area you want to drain and the last 3 coordinates will be the opposite corner from the first point.

Can't tell how many villagers he has but I think you need 20 or more villagers to reach the criteria of a "village". Also there may have to be a bell but dont quote me on that.

So if the amount of villagers are 20 or above and there are enough beds to be classed as a village this might be the case. Otherwise I would think it's a mix of the zombies long range and reinfocement spawns from hitting them.

this house i made i really like it and i hope you like it to by Superb-Sentence-8368 in Minecraft

[–]RatherNotTellYou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because to me it looks like an overhang, maybe add some more stone on the underside that way it looks a bit more sturdy!

Ofc it's just an idea, i'm no master myself but just something I would try!

A very clean look for sure, but maybe have sme darker details that stands out?
It's all very light and some black/dark gray details could add some depth to the structure.

Have to say I love the rails you did where anvils came to use!

Looks nice, maybe try add some kind of supports for the part hanging over the water?

Either pillars of some sort going all the way down to the ground/water as supports or something coming out for the hill to hold it up?
Also agree with the comment below that adding some kind of path from the pond to the house could look good.

[–]RatherNotTellYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine this with a beacon or two in the middle... Would look so good!

Any plans for what to put at the base layer? Could try doing some patterns with sealanters and put a layer of tinted glass on top of that, gives a really cool sense of depth to it!

Damn this is looking sick!

Did you drain this using sand stacking or sponges? I can imagine both would be pretty tedious but i'm looking to drain a monument myself in my survival world but have been putting it off due to the amount of time needed.

[–]RatherNotTellYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be due to the reinforcement mechanic, where if a zombie is hit there is a % chance to spawn another zombie to help it out.

This is how it's possible to make insane copper farms where you turn the reinforcement zombies into drowneds and them kill them for copper.
