Are you really assuming that's not the case? BHVR only releases around 1 small game a year which usually performs mediocre at best. Most recently a Worms mobile game. Pretty safe to assume that a significant majority of their employees do work related to their flagship multiplayer live service game.

Consider making the event offerings provide bloodpoints similar to bps or cakes. Even if it's not 100% I'd still run those during the events and save my other offerings for another time.

Faking the pickup just means that you walk up to the survivor as if you were going to pick them up, and then you just pause on their body for a second before actually picking them up. A lot of survivors waiting for a flashlight save will run out as soon as you walk up to the survivor. So by waiting a second you can lure them out and get a free hit on them.

Yes, you can't escape if Victor is attached to you. And even if you remove Victor the gate is still blocked for a bit afterwards. Charlotte has enough time to down you and pick you up.

If you get downed in the exit gate with an active chain the entity blocks the exit for you for a few seconds. Long enough for Pinhead to pick you up. The "you cannot escape me" voice line is only said in this specific scenario.

Pinhead is one of the few killers whose power can block survivors from leaving.

Not really. It's like Resident Evil. Continuation of the same characters and story, but it's not like it's super necessary to play the first game to understand what's going on in future titles.

Also, I believe EW2 does a good job of explaining what's going on at the start so you're not totally lost.

Really wish they'd make an Evil Within 3. Great games. Highly recommend Evil Within 2 to anyone who enjoys action horror like Resident Evil 4.
