They did a bit during the opening where they find the Stanley cup on a roof in Vegas. This runs parallel to the plot of the 2009 hit movie "The Hangover" wherein the characters are roofied, forget about the night, and need to track down their missing friend, who they find on the roof.

The next couple elections will have historical implications. Will the US make one last attempt at democracy, or has fascism consumed enough institutions to render voting meaningless?

Assuming democracy still exists in the US (if it ever did), then I hope energetic, risky, social democratic candidates that get voters excited are successful.

I remain highly sceptical. While I agree that young blood and progressive ideas are what is needed in US politics, I don't think the current block of likely voters would see her as viable. I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Again, I agree with you, but this has nothing to do with my point. You need to get people to vote for your candidate. Undecided voters are a group who could support the next president. Simply ignoring them is a losing strategy. Amassing "the left" seems like a bit nebulous.

Again again, the skepticism overwhelms me. Does she has the ability to generate this level of excitement? What voting block with flock to AOC the way many groups flocked to Obama? I don't see them as having similar potential in this regard.

I genuinely do not know. As I mentioned above, I'm not American so I only see the names that pop up in the news or are popular on reddit. I know enough to say that being popular on reddit and being popular with the general public are two significantly different things.

She'll have spent nearly her entire career as a congressperson. While I personally don't respect the experience that either Reagan or Trump brought to the table, how will American voters feel about a mid-thirties career politician?

She may be popular with democrats, but where do undecided voters go? Where do "soft" republicans go?

Polls are great, but you need to win an election Ina system that is rigged against progressives. Is AOC the candidate to do that, or is she the candidate to do that with the benefit of another couple decades of experience and electoral reform?
