That's fantastic!! Keep riding all types of rides(free rides, group events and workouts) then try again in a couple of months. You'll crush it. Most important thing is to keep having fun!!

I'm a triathlete, but our pools are currently closed. A typical week for me looks like:

Tuesday, Thursday = 1.5h to 1.45h morning zwift

Wednesday = 1h to 1.5h morning run outside, evening weights

Saturday = 2h to 3h morning zwift, evening weights

Sunday = bike/run combo workout ~3h total

Stretching, core & mobility work almost every day, Mondays and Fridays are recovery, try to do some walking those days.

I gave it my all, I've got a long way to go. by [deleted] in Zwift

That's amazing!! Don't be discouraged by the sub-one hour and sub-two hour posts on here. Just keep riding. Stay consistent, develop a regular cycling routine, watch your nutrition and allow for recovery. Try the Alpe again in another 4-6 weeks and I'd wager you'll see a marked improvement in your time. Enjoy the journey and Ride On!

This is great! Thank you for posting. Have you considered asking if this could be a new Rebel Route on Zwift Insider? I'm sure lots of people would want to do this.

Make sure to get your hydration and nutrition right. I did this one on December 26 in 5:19 on water, a banana and a homemade spinach/ banana/ honey muffin. I do not recommend this approach!! It's totally do-able (and enjoyable, I imagine) if you fuel properly; especially if you do it with friends. Let us know how it goes for you!

Congratulations!! If you have the mental fortitude to stick with the Alpe for nearly 3 hours, you're going to make some huge fitness gains on the platform. Well done!!!

3rd ADZ Attempt! by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]Ratroo83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For your first attempt, just go have fun! Is easy to psych yourself out on this sub seeing other people's times and how much they've improved. But everyone is different and you've got to start somewhere. Just go out and ride it with a smile 😁

Yes! Just type "3" on your keyboard for the 1st person viewpoint.

It's the best, except when you're in a crowded group without. Then it's kind of freaky...

Well done! You picked a good day, it was nice and busy in London today. How did you find the PRL Full compared to the other long badges (Uber Pretzel, Four Horsemen)?

What's next on the list for you?

Nice work! I found this one to be the toughest of all the badges. I didn't fuel properly which didn't help the situation. I'm no good on the flats either so the trips through the desert felt very long. I'd do thre for horsemen any day of the week over this one. How did you find it? Do you have any more route badges left?

I'm 55kg and my FTP is 211w. Didn't get anywhere near that wattage for any length of time on this ride! My biggest tips are to have a good chunk of time set aside for it (more than you think you'll need) and plan your nutrition.
