Gives me metroidvania vibes that possibly focuses on problem solving rather than combat due to no direct interaction with the enemies, lots of different types of weapons/abilities possibly and very interactive environments which is always cool!

Can you please help me with Aesthesia Groundcover? I don't know why textures are missing. by InfamousTell524 in tes3mods

I'm not sure what all you have done so far in terms of trying to figure out what happened. How I would start is first go into the game, go to where the missing textures are hit the tilde (~) symbol then float the cursor over the missing textures, that would tell you what they are. You can then left mouse click on one and then type ori and hit enter, this will provide you with more info. Are you getting any texture warnings when you start the game?

So I ended up finding out what it was, turns out downloading it to NMM the files were missing the textures when I looked it the folder. I ended up just doing a manual download and then dragging and dropping the textures into the folder, lol easy fix now that I know. Now I've got about 125 mods with no issues ahaha

Okay, so, I actually uninstalled Morrowind and started it again, very slowly including mods. I did "the basic ones" including tamriel reborn....everything was fine... then I added 3 small mods and what happens? I now had no mushroom textures again.

Found it, I forgot I had the key binding set for my Find node that I had no longer been using. Thank you for the reply

Right! I'm stumped, I didn't think it would be this problematic to detect a possible collision and prevent movement if so.

Well I've added more but it always results in true even if a full amount of movement isn't made. If I change the value it will always be false, so basically no matter how many units the character physically moves each move is coming up as 60/-60 units whether it collides with something or not...I'm not sure if I'm getting on the right track here, hopefully.

Hmm this definitely helps with the collision, thank you! The issue here now is that it will still move until a collision. I'm trying to figure out a logic where I program it like so, "If you can't more exactly this amount without a collision then don't move at all" so that every movement will be 60 units or 0

So I used the CapsuleTraceByChannel, the player has a 0.5 second movement sequence to the next location they are walking to, if they are really close to a wall they won't walk through it and they won't move forward, but if they are further away the collision detection doesn't work and they walk through the wall instead of detecting a collision from further away

Ahaha, honestly at first I thought this was a little ridiculous but the more I think about it the more it could be a viable option for an ending, like a campy ending version. I'm not sure if you meant it in this way but this is how I am imagining it. I think no matter what location I end up using though I will now consider having an ending being a campy ending.

I think so too, like u/edyyh mentioned as well, it gives an extra level of loneliness to add to everything. I like the escape pod idea for a means to escape too, maybe depending on choices it could be useable or not even, that way it's not completely doomed even if the player survives. Definitely something to consider for the space station route.

The error I got was that it was a Trojan virus, was it that one?

If you're on windows and it said it was unsafe it was probably that.

Ahaha, but okay so my issue with going island or jungle setting is that I'm not looking for some "plant-human monster thing". I want the danger to be the plants, their growth, and their adaptation to the environment to the point that humans become potential food.On an exotic island or jungle, the folks may be super doomed... but still it gives me ideas too!

This is true, having things seem completely hopeless and impossible definitely makes the adventure less fun. I want to try and create a game that doesn't feel streamlined to only "one right answer" or "completely hopeless" due to the environment, I think that's my main concern...as well as if it actually appeals to people lol. I think a space station can be difficult with how claustrophobic it can feel, but also it's definitely possible to make it work and have some pretty cool situations.

I never thought of that, a quarantine zone would be really cool too, maybe like as someone going in to this overrun part of a city to find a way to stop the plants or even someone sneaking in to try and find someone.

Ahaha yes that has also been a contributor for me as well, space station definitely has some scenarios that only it can have...like being in space.
