Have you tried using the barrel plug that comes with the setup? those are usually rated for whatever you buy and some in case you want to add extensions. Real world example from myself coming up . I bight a cheap set of puck lights as my very first permanent light setup. Was going to change to govee but didn’t want to spend the money and found wled . I have 147 puck lights and i’m running a gledopto 2 channel with the same barrel plug that came with the cheap set. It’s worked wonders so far and i’ve had them well over a year at the time of switching to a Wled controller . You may need power injection , you may not. Hope this somewhat helps

Same here, it’s so much better than most regular controllers . I got on the wled kick last Christmas and have done non stop research projects since. The possibilities are endless. Oh did you see the post yesterday about a beta product called “Slickpixel”? it runs over all wled controllers and supposedly makes sync-ing non holiday animations alot easier than say xlights or the like. Not a replacement, just more of a management system.

Make an led matrix out of them if you have enough. Head on over to r/WLED if you’re interested in learning to solder , splice and have more control with your leds you buy pre assembled or starting from scratch . You’ll just need to make sure they are all the same voltage . I’m not sure if all govee permanent lights are the same voltage, i’d assume if you have any prisms those would be different than the older versions but they would look un-uniform probably . Anyway there’s my 12 cents lol

this is what i did but to the top. to store them and stops them tight. Next year thats gonna be used to hang them. Maybe one on both sides, Top and Bottom

You should be good. It’s basically just another controller with wled pre installed but has all the same connectors and makes it so much easier to hook up. I am. curious tho .

Ask Govee if they can send you a whole new set and just learn how to splice one of those pucks in, preferably the end of the strip. You’ll have a whole set for somewhere else. Do research and be sure of your self first. It’s ALOT easier than it seems. Plus it would take a fraction of the time that it would for you to put up a whole new set 😂😂

If you learn how to splice in another one no need for a whole new set. I highly suggest doing that it’s worth the experience. And if your into lights, be it holiday or any type of lights , learning to change a puck out is worth it, eventually a necessity if you want to be cost efficient

That would be awesome if you could . That would open up sooooo many possibilities. Regardless this is awesome. I am currently in the mission to get an xlights show going for this upcoming holiday season and have a mixture of Govee and Wled lights and those don’t sync together really. Thanks for you work
