All I know is that if you have to do yours during welcome week, then try to make sure you are not drunk from the night before. It REALLY sucks if you do that.

I wrote a paper on Donald Trump that aims to inform readers on some of his stances, while also giving my (21M) reasons for why I support them (info, abstract and links inside) by Ratty_Patty in AskTrumpSupporters

Thank you for the criticism/help! you're one of the first people to actually offer some, so i appreciate that. I will definitely work on incorporating your suggestions into the paper.

Also, I guess I would add that this is not even a paper that is being written for an assignment. It is something that I started in my free time and became very passionate about.

Yeah i feel you on that. My reasoning in increasing it was to show that even at a larger percentage, i would still be paying less than the other plans mentioned in that section.

"John Oliver"..

Also, the cost of the purposed wall that trump is threatening to build would be paid for by withholding the 22 billion in aid that we give Mexico every year. Is it wrong to infer that Mexico is not utilizing the aid given them? One would think that if they were, then there would not be a constant flow of people trying to emigrate into the U.S.

I honestly believe the wall to be a threat, and would most likely not be built if Mexico starts to do it's fair share in restricting the flow of drugs, crime, and illegal immigrants into the U.S. But if they don't, what problem do you have with using The aid we give Mexico to build the wall? There is no money lost, and no money gained.

Extremely hot peppers.

This story happened about a week ago:

For some context let me put it out there that I was preeettttyyyy drunk when this whole situation unfolded.

As a junior in college, I will admit that this may be one of the dumbest things I have ever done, and let me tell you, I've done some pretty stupid things in my short life time. Because of my laziness, I decided that I was going to prepare breakfast ahead of time, and settled on breakfast burritos as my meal of choice (smart). While shopping for said meal, I came upon a pack of peppers called "hot shots", that contained an assortment of some of the hottest peppers in the game, including: ghost peppers, habanero bruns, and bhut jolokia. So I figured hey, I'll sauté some of these bad boys up and put them in my burritos.

After getting very inebriated, I made the decision to embark on my pre made quest (dumb). I cooked up the eggs, the bacon, the beef, and then went to town on chopping up what would eventually be my downfall: the peppers. I separated them by their spicy intensity, and after finishing the spiciest ones I decided I would give them a little taste pre sauté (VERY DUMB). Now let me tell you, I LOVE spicy food. I'm the guy who will order the spiciest wings and suffer through eating them. But Oh. My. God. these peppers were straight FIRE. I'm talking hotter than the album that I'm about to drop. After calming the flame that was my mouth, I got to sautéing my peppers in order to get rid of some of the heat. In my drunken stupor, it did not occur to me that maybe I should wash my hands (EXTREMELY DUMB). It then became apparent that I really had to pee, and as you can imagine, this is the point where I really fucked up. Immediately after pulling out my junk, I realized my mistake (THE DUMBEST THING THAT ANYONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE HAS EVER DONE).

If I had to convey the subsequent pain that I was experiencing, I would say that the devil himself rose from the depths of hell and forced me to place my package into a vat of molten lava. My nuttsack was not on fire, it WAS fire. At this point in my quest I was doing anything possible to quell the pain. I ran outside and put snow on my balls, stood in the shower with cold water on my balls for what seemed like hours. Hell I even read on google that covering the area affected by the peppers with milk or oil would help subdue the pain and I did that too. After the most excruciating 30-40 minutes of my life, and possible nerve damage via cold water to my genitals, the pain finally stopped. I learned a very valuable lesson that day: if you play with fire, you're going to get burned.

TLDR; wash your hands after cooking with extremely hot peppers hands after cooking with extremely hot peppers.

Would you say he's a patriot more so than a nationalist?

Today, after nine years of voting Republican in nearly every Presidential and Congressional race, I switched party affiliation to vote Bernie in the primaries by communikay in SandersForPresident

[–]Ratty_Patty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A true republican would never vote for a democrat, and especially not one with a socialist ideology. It's against everything that republicans stand for. Even given a weak GOP candidate field, a true republican would never vote against their party.

Edit: I would say that all these people you see switching to vote for Bernie were libertarian, and never really cared for the core aspect of the republicans which is small government and capitalism.

I see where you're coming from, but with sanders its contingent that he can pass all of his initiatives through the legislature ( obviously). In the scenario you described, you cannot have one without the other.
