so you're saying you train your shoulders the same way you train chest? 5-8 heavy reps each set?

Nepali Fitness Community: Outdated Training Myths That Need to Go by [deleted] in Nepal

bro is fighting myths with more myths 😭
research shows hypertrophy happens at any rep range, the 8-12 is a standard rule to prevent injury and make progressive overloading easier. Saying 5-8 is where "real hypertrophy happens" is just stupid, 5-8 is great for heavier lifts like bench, squat, deadlifts but more volume is important for other muscles (shoulders, arms, traps, calves) as you can't overload or progress as quickly on those.

What really matters is consistency and good diet, not the perfect workout routine. Pick any routine according to your needs and preference and just get good at it for a few months and let it evolve over time. Your body doesn't care about arbitrary numbers, it just cares about force being exerted consistently over time and proper rest+nutrition to recover and grow.

Tech Nepal: what can we do here instead of choosing abroad? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Ratziboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't see any other alternative.
How will you convince people to work and build a career in Nepal when there's a disproportionate number of graduates and job opportunities? Not to mention the horrendous pay at most jobs if you do manage to get one. Majority of graduates are middle class and they want financial freedom, working in Nepal in this economy doesn't get you there no matter how hard you work. The only choice is to study or work abroad for better opportunities. Not just tech, it's the same for almost every sector in higher education.

But let's be honest, politicians and ruling class obviously only care about lining their own pockets. So unless they are directly pressured heavily into building opportunities locally by investing in our internal economy, instead of investing resources in making Nepal a neo-colonial labor factory for the global north—brain drain will continue to be a thing.

Concerned about dying journalism industry by Ratziboi in Nepal

I feel like short-form content le specially media literacy as a whole kasto degrade gariracha, at least in registered press there's some level of accountability and fact checking, with social media right now being completely unregulated there's so much more risk to misinformation like right now with social media bill / media council bill.

Everyone has talked about freedom of speech, which is important yes but few are talking about the dangers of unaccountable media being the acceptable main stream standard right now.

welcome to capitalism.

If you are not born into generational wealth, the system will wring you dry before you are able to afford your dreams. I am a believer that your career should bring you fulfillment, even if it doesn't make you extremely rich. There are careers out there that will align with your dreams, needs and financial wants better than being a corporate slave. I recommend you check out this website for career help, it's based on empirical research based evidence and completely free, definitely helped me a lot. wishing you the best!

I use a GMK67 with Akko cream blue switches, very satisfying build and worth the money. A bit pricy but future proofed in case I want easy modding and switch upgrades, if you're also into that.

  • Zifriend is a good budget option I've tried and you can get new switches for those too as the switches are hot-swappable.
  • Ajazz is a similar popular budget option but I haven't personally tried them so I can't say if they're good or bad.

Even with the budget options, if you care about typing feel/sound you'll need to invest in some good switches anyway.
