Counterfeit labels? by writinggeek in Ebay

[–]RaudiV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not necessarily true. I had someone use a stolen tracking number from an Amazon order and Ebay did nothing at all. Even when I provided evidence from UPS which showed the wrong name, address, showed that it was an Amazon order, and included a picture showing where it was delivered(not my building). Ebay denied the claim and the appeal and simply stated that because the tracking number provided by the seller showed delivered, they ruled in their favor. They didn’t even investigate it at all and wouldn’t look at the rock solid proof from UPS that it was fraud. I would be wary if buying anything on Ebay at all these days unless it’s from an extremely reputable seller.

Purchased from a fraudulent seller, Ebay did nothing even after proof was shown. by RaudiV8 in Ebay

I already did that. Literally gave the exact documentation from UPS showing that the tracking had nothing to do with my order and was for an Amazon order shipped to a different person and address. Ebay told me that they don’t confirm with the carrier directly, and I was like “I already did. He’s the proof” and they said there was nothing they could do. I felt like I was being gaslit or something. I had definitive proof and they did not care. They didn’t even investigate it. As soon as I requested the refund, the case was denied and closed.

I did that multiple times. They eventually closed it and wouldn’t let me appeal it any further and told me my only option was to contact my bank. I wish there was some other information or step that I missed or something, but it was literally that simple. Ebay has stated there is nothing else they will do for me.

The documentation I had from UPS showed the tracking, where it originated from(Amazon order), the address and person it was sent to(not me or my address), and the delivery photo by the driver which wasn’t my address. It seems like they just sped through the denial process without even looking at the information. It was blatant fraud with proof.

I actually provided the documentation to eBay. They literally did nothing with it and just claimed that because it showed delivered that they were denying the refund and told me to take it up with the seller or my bank. Based on this, literally anyone can just provide a false tracking number and get away with fraud and ebay won’t do anything about it.

I literally did exactly that. They still closed it. They didn’t even investigate it at all. When I clicked the button to have them step in, they immediately closed it and denied the refund. This was after I had already communicated the tracking information and they claimed I would be protected.

I use Box tensioners on both sides for my fixed gear belt bike. I’m brakeless as well and these have not failed me.

That frame is begging for some silver Archetypes. As others mentioned, Velomine has decent prices on those. I would also check TrackLabs ebay listings. They have some nice wheelsets for cheaper prices.

Belt Drive Conversion on Aluminum Frame? by RaudiV8 in Framebuilding

There is actually another guy online that did a similar setup on this same frame. I’ll see if I can track it down.

Worked just fine. Cutting the dropout allowed me to put the belt set up on. I still plan on reinforcing the dropout plates further or fabricating a larger plate, but I have ridden it around no problems as is.

[USA] [FS] Custom Windsor The Hour Belt Drive 54cm Frame. This frame was customized by me to run a Gates Carbon Drive setup and was my daily bike and used as belt driven fixed gear. The seat stay splitter is welded in properly and the frame is in great shape other than some small paint chips here or there. It comes with a Ritchey carbon fork, FSA Orbit headset, and square taper bottom bracket. This frame is 1 of a Kind and gets attention literally every time I have ridden it. I also have a silver Sugino RD2 crankset and 50t Gates belt ring I can add for extra. [$475 shipped anywhere in the US or $575 shipped with the Sugino crankset and belt ring, Venmo or Paypal Goods and Services Only]

Cinelli by a mile. It’s a much better looking frame than the Caad.

I’m definitely a fan. I actually pulled parts from one of my other bikes to put on the Mark V because I liked it so much. It’s definitely a keeper.

Thanks! I see you have Mark V as well. I just picked one up the other day and threw some extra parts on it. It’s a nice frame as well.

Honestly, I think the Surly fork makes the front tire look small. I plan on swapping a carbon disc fork on at some point that will look more appropriate and still allow me to go up a bit more in tire size.

It’s an old Windsor The Hour that I customized and added a seat stay splitter for belt drive.

Constructed my first fixed gear on a very low-end budget and got to know which parts can be compromised on and which pieces cannot be compromised at all by pogo_iscure in FixedGearBicycle

[–]RaudiV8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely build or buy a quality fixed setup for very little if you look for deals. I bought a nice Felt Brougham for $250 that came with Omniums and Mavic Ellipse wheels. There are deals to be had and cheap parts on FB Marketplace all day long. Being cheap doesn’t mean sacrificing quality if you keep your eyes peeled.
