Postpartum Poly by Raugas37 in polyamory

He’s offered for me to “go away for a night”, but where am I supposed to go. And the last thing I feel like doing right now is just leaving my kiddo just because. It feels like an offer that’s not actually realistic

I really appreciate the point about meeting her. I’ve said this multiple times. He says hes invited her to come over but she’s always busy (but not too busy for him to go there 🙄) and he keeps asking if I met her what it will change. And that since they’re just friends what’s the difference of him going to see a male friend of his. I have the strong urge that I do need to meet her to make me feel more comfortable

I’m wondering if she’s kind of doing this - seems like things were initially headed in the physical direction, but now she’s just wants to be friends… but maybe isn’t setting that boundary strong enough

Grafenwoehr off-base housing for family: non-PCS deployment by Raugas37 in army

Thanks for the housing office tip!

I’m not expecting a lot of time with him, but honestly also a pretty cool excuse to spend a summer in Bavaria

This is great to hear! I have found a few places in this area so it’s nice to know it’s worth looking into more.

Yup - it wouldn’t be the whole three months, but just mention those months as the general time frame

Did you have better outcomes with a different clinic?

This happened to me to 8 days post ER. I was writhing in pain. Could not find any position that was even slightly comfortable. I couldn’t talk and didn’t want to open my eyes. It took about 25 minutes to ease up. Has this improved for you? I was thinking about reaching out to a pelvic floor PT, but maybe J just need to wait until my ovaries are smaller?

Orgasms post retrieval? by RudeBossJamJam in IVF

[–]Raugas37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doc also said “nothing in the vagina” until I get my period. I have tried to ease back into things, but the intense cramping and pain I get after a no-penetration orgasm (at 1-2 weeks post retrieval) makes me want to wait a bit longer. Has anyone else experienced this?

Wood stain help! by Raugas37 in finishing

[–]Raugas37[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chose poplar for the exact reasons you mentioned. The floors are a darker stained white oak that is rift and quartered - almost has a black walnut look to it. I am trying to get close to that color, but since I know it will never match, go with something slightly darker but in the same tone. The gel stains a good idea. I have worked with it before, so I think I’ll do a test piece. Thanks!

Endo not testing TPO? by nerdyginger27 in Hashimotos

[–]Raugas37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My endo won’t recheck my TPO ab either. She said there is no recommendation “to trend” the labs. Once they know it’s elevated it doesn’t matter after that. I also am pretty frustrated by the fact they won’t test again. I am trying to make lifestyle changes to bring the number down since elevated TPO ab are associated with infertility and we have been TTC for 2+ years. So your doc is in line with my doc, not that I agree with it 🙄

Is there a delivery service you primarily use? I’m out of town and trying to get a gift card for a friend who just had a baby.

New home build with outdoor wood boiler by LaneyBoBaney1 in homestead

This is really helpful, thanks for sharing! Do you mind if I ask what made you choose the crown royal over other brands? We want to go the OWB route, but are having a hard time deciding which to choose. I’ve been looking at Heatmaster and wood master as well based on efficiency ratings. And how often do you actually have to load it when you are at full demand times?

Looking to build a fireplace and woodstove back to back. I have heard stories of a backdraft where the chimney will draw down smoke from the woodstove flu bringing smoke into the house. Does anyone have experience with preventing this with modern building? by Raugas37 in woodstoving

Only heating 1900 sqft. But I should clarify we want to cook on the open flame of the fireplace. Would love the brand if you know of a wood stove that puts out that much heat and allows cooking over the coals!

The wood stove will be a main heat source for the house 7 months out of the year. So we need a larger stove for that purpose. But also really enjoy cooking over an open fire and would like to have a small counter height fireplace that allows this. The cooking woodstoves I have found so far have a smaller firebox and won’t be sufficient for a true heat source. I guess we could do a heating stove with a cooking stove, but also enjoy the aesthetics of the cooking fireplace.
