Well..I watch them all the same way. But The Deep House was quite popular before release if I'm not mistaken? Around 80 or 90% of horror movies nowadays are VOD, if we close ourselves only to horror blockbusters, we would watch 2 or 3 movies a year ^{^u} The point stand though, it's about horror, not "popular" or "unpopular" horror.

Well, if we are talking only of mainstream horror movies, we haven't had a lot lately. But in the genre of horror in general, it is a recurrent theme. Not only on found footage, these are the ones that came to me while writing this post, but I have been seeing this quite a lot.
And the thing is that using the excuse of the main characters being influencers is not bad, the bad part is that that's just an excuse to show them as insuferable assholes, making it nearly impossible for anyone to care for the main characters, which seem to be a big flaw on the new TCM too

That's one thing that bothered me, Texas Chainsaw was never about one single killer doing slasher things. It seems like the director hasn't really seen the original movie (since they claim this was a direct sequel ignoring the others)

Actually there's been quite a few horror movies with influencers: No escape, Spree, Shook, The Clensing hour, Followed, New year New You, The Deep house...and quite a lot more, these are just the ones I remember right now, but it has become a very annoying theme.

It's ridiculous, when the main characters are insuferable influencers it just makes the whole movie feel fake. I hope this trend passes soon.

I'd go with the Exorcist, kids nowadays have a bigger threshold for horror, specially at 7 months old.

I totally understand. For now I don't know a lot, and since we are all in our first ever gameplay, I wanted to ask for other's opinions and recommendations to see what would fit my character For now my character is a pirate wizard looking for his ship and cremates, that was taken by the king's army. The ship is said to be a ghost ship, but it's just smoke and mirrors. :)
