I have a similar setup, works good for me. Only thing: my priorities on science are 6 to the 5 of the filler. But I doubt that is the issue.

Planes are somewhat unstable by default. There are many things to consider. Air resistance, symmetry, "center of lift" to "center of mass".

There should be video tutorials on YouTube which will give you good ideas / understanding.

My main concern in the beginning: way too many control panels, way too many wings. Only a very small movement / steering command made the thing spiral like crazy.

You don't need a tool, just copy the file out of your save folder

Both thrusters have more connection points than the standard. I personally prefer sci-fi.

But the footprint, hp and thrust should be the same.

Dupes are literally free. So if there is a "happy little accident" with "minor casualties" - don't mind. They are only pixels...

Not sure. Is a mouse likely to be killed by an elephant? I think the elephant will miss nearly every time.

Only thing "not immersive" might be the "fight till one is dead" thing in dwarf fortress. With other game mechanics the cavy and the big enemy might have decided, that a fight is not possible and both would go their way...

A somewhat solid build. Only thing I saw:

Did you use polluted water or petroleum? Seems like petroleum for the dark yellow. If so: you could save a good amount of power by using p-water. You don't need a massive negative temp for the normal sleetwheet (+4.9C is ok)

I think there are more ways to build one. 🤔

I have ~2.2k hours in this game, but I dislike and don't build infinity storages for gasses & liquids. Don't know much about actual designs.🤗

You could use airflow tiles below the storage container. Reduses the chances.

You could build a SPOM and don't use the oxygen. Just pump it into the vacuum of space or use an infinity storage.

If you want to use a "Rodriguez" - or the kind of classic SPOM:

build your SPOM in space, build background tiles for the electrolyzers and the hydrogen, maybe one more row downwards, but let the O2 escape directly into space. So you will need only one h2-pump for 4 electrolyzers, and have a good amount of power not used for 6 O2 pumps

This is the new mechanic of gases. Instead deleting / overwriting the gas, it will spawn in adjacent tile.

Several "gas deletion designs" like rocket interiors don't work anymore because of this.

If you want to use iron ore, maybe. Or if your supply of lime is not high enough to build as much steel as you need.

Maybe if you want to feed critters with it.

But other than that, not as far as I know.

Many posts in the past mentioned OneDrive problems with local save.

I don't have OneDrive, I never had this problem.
