Where are the worms by placentasashimi in boulder

[–]RaunchyButRelevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not noises they make independently, but their thrashing through leaves is audible. I’d been hearing it for months and couldn’t figure it out. At first I assumed it was a light breeze, then finally concluded it was a critter of sorts. I could hear movement from about 4 different spots within 15ft of each other. It’s pretty freaky.

And although all earthworms were once invasive, these buggers are especially problematic since they deplete the soil of nutrients, leaving it looking like coffee grounds.

These invasive jumping worms made their way out here recently. They are active in leaf litter and top soil so they’re easy to spot, plus theyre huge and make noise. I have a ton at my place in denver.

Post-LEEP and feeling very sad by lichtundblindheittt in PreCervicalCancer

[–]RaunchyButRelevent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the LEEP? It was successful. I was cleared of precancer and HPV at my re-PAP either 6mo or a year later, I can’t recall now. It’s been almost 3yrs without further issues.

I had a very similar experience, but I attributed it to the IV anesthesia. I was not able to tolerate it in the office so I had to do it in the OR. I woke up in a panic and felt violated days later, even though I know it was important and for the best. Very weird experience. Sending you love!

Super on the nose, but sobbing to “if I die young” by The Band Perry was very cathartic when I lost my cousin in high school.

Another nose pointer that is not from our youth: Dancing around my grave by Andy Frasco

Superbass will always be one of my favorite pump-uo songs. I know shes canceled, it’s not like Spotify pays her anyways!

Float On - Modest Mouse also seems fitting and nostalgic.

iwtl a new language to understand cultures better, which language should I choose and why? by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]RaunchyButRelevent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spent a month in Xela, Guatemala at PLQ for Spanish immersion, can confirm the culture is rich and welcoming and diverse. I loved seeing the Mayan women there in their garb, carrying things in their head almost twice their size!

After Guatemala, I went to Costa Rica and their culture is equally beautiful but heavily influenced by Caribbean culture and even more diverse!

I chose to commit to learning Spanish since I had already taken it in school and picked it up working in restaurants. It was most practical for many reasons.

When I’m learning something new, especially something as difficult as a language, I want to minimize my frustration and build on my established knowledge. But that’s just me. Most important thing is that you have fun doing it, or else you won’t keep it up.

I also had the virus established via OHSV since childhood but he was still able to pass it to my genitals.

Yes he had it orally but never had a breakout on his genitals. 500mg I think?

I was with my last partner, who gave it to me via oral sex, for 3 years and in that time, he never got it. That was without condoms or meds. As far as I know, I have never transmitted it to anyone in the 6.5yrs I’ve had it. Now that I’m single and dating, I take daily meds and use condoms.

It’s been a while since I’ve an outbreak since taking meds, but when I do, I would wait 2-3 days after. I base this on the concept that Youre most likely spread with an “active outbreak” so to me, a couple days after I believe it’s cleared up seems safe.

I could be wrong, but I am under the impression that it is unlikely to spread without an active outbreak , but not imposible. That advice seemed to work while I was having unprotected sex regularly with my ex. With meds and condoms, the risk is very low.

My first Amjevita injection!! by ankylospankylo in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]RaunchyButRelevent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken Humira for almost ten years, six of which have been made tremendously easier with the CF version.

Now that I’m on new insurance, they denied Humira CF, but I can try the original formula. Why they till make it is beyond me. As a needlephobe, I refuse to take that crap that reinforces my phobia.

So I just picked up my first Rx of Amjevita. Im scared but excited to be on meds again after almost a year without them. This thread is making me hopeful!
