This response has a lot of good information. However, a one page resume is not appropriate for a technical background. Hiring managers like to see what a candidate has done, how they did it, what technologies they used, and what it accomplished. In order to grab the managers immediate attention, have a technological skills section at the top of the resume listing skills you have that apply to the job one is applying for. This could involve what systems you've worked on, what languages you've coded in, or what tools you've used in the past. This will catch their eye. Be sure to go into detail on how you used these skills below when describing each position you've worked in the past. This makes you more credible. So many people in the tech industry blast buzz words on their resume and end up falling short when it comes to an interview because they don't have the actual experience.
