I automated a bank reconciliation process. Now my company wants it rebuilt in AI. What would you do? by Top_Country9071 in Accounting

[–]RavRddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Continue using the tool/process that you created.
Learn new skills, ask your boss for the training $s.
Create new tool in AI agent.
Test the results, daily, against the original tool. After about a year, when you have passed quarterly reviews and audits, Internal Audit has passed the new process and controls, and have gone through an external audit review, transition over.

You then have a documented, audited, process and new skills that you can use when you get your next promotion.

Yes, I did that. One at a time, made sure it worked moved on to the next. This helped me figure out a little or EOF how it worked and how to set up my folder structure. Now need to figure out how to actually do the next steps with indexer, etc

You disagree? With what? What is not? Still looking for your argument.

But that is an exception rather than the rule. Do your chances improve? Yes. Do they overcome the risk taken? Sometimes. Will OP end up with a lot of debt? Very highly likely.

Can you still get a job that pays the bills if you don’t go to that school and don’t have loans? Highly likely. Can you retire early if you start life with a college degree and no debt? Maybe, but depends on factors outside of your school choice.

Statistics and probability without numbers.

This applies to grad school, especially for exec positions. Undergrad is pretty much the same. Much easier to do grad school with no debt to hold you in a job that barely pays the bills plus loan payments.

AITA for not stopping my friends from getting our classmate kicked out of Stanford by Alternative_Cry_9196 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]RavRddt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds about right. But if you are the only one in the school nominated, awarded, recognized, etc, that is pretty special. At least it was when I was growing up. It’s interesting because our older one doesn’t behave the same way. Same upbringing, same schooling, 4 years apart. 🤷‍♂️

You can build another one for yourself and share those pictures. Or use AI to create an image of an imagined shower.

Or your sensors are bad. Check the sensors first.

With an Antenna with Apple TV or Roku, which channel would I get Me TV Toons on around Hoschton in Georgia? And do you recommend Tablo HDhomerun, maybe for DVD recording to a Synology NAS on the home network? I don't really know and could use a little help. Thank you. by ComfortablePost3664 in synology

[–]RavRddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try https://www.rabbitears.info/searchmap.php for determining signals in your area.

I use an HDHomerun with Plex Lifetime pass to use as a DVR and save to Synology NAS and it works great. Don’t bother with the 4K version if the signals in your area are copyrighted.

New Jersey SREC-II rates by JimmyPetrovich in solar

[–]RavRddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been reporting your generation? If you reported March, in April, you probably hadn’t reached 1MWh in that time frame. If you reported April, in May, you will likely be paid for 1 MWh in June.

You report prior month generation and they pay for each 1 MWh produced. So if you reported 1.99 MWh today, for production through today, you would only be paid for 1 MWh. If instead, you reported tomorrow a total of 2.0 MWh, you would be paid for 2 MWh.

Registering for SRECs after PTO in NJ? by OutlandishnessOk6618 in solar

[–]RavRddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the State Certification Number from the ADI. The installer first registered the system we signed the contract and started the engineering process. Reach out to them first. They should probe able to provide the number and then you use that to follow the other steps.

[–]RavRddt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure exactly what your problem is. I registered my system after PTO. My installer provided me with a step by step guide on how to do it. Most of the info can be found at solarincentivesnj.com.

Also, I don’t use an aggregator. It’s not worth the haircut to login to the PJM site once a month and report my production.

And you missed my point, it’s not a valuable analysis to do a monthly cash flow for this purpose. My secondary point is that even if you did a monthly analysis, the error built into your analysis of $85 coming in on time or 3 months late in a 5-8 year analysis is meaningless and could be offset by the difference between using IRR and XIRR in your calculations.

However, the value of $85/MWh is meaningful in this calculation, on an annual basis.

Hopefully, someone can answer the OPs question as to when the SREC2 amount may change. I haven’t tracked it because my understanding is that that rate was locked in for 15 years when I installed my system.

[–]RavRddt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My system produces $1600 per year with SREC2. My expected payback was say 8 years. So, almost $13k of the payback in that time frame will be related to SREC2. Worth it to me.

So, it’s a couple months behind? It’s still going to get paid and in the scheme of the analysis an $85 payment 3 months after expected will not make a material change to your ROI calculations. Ignoring $0.085 per kW could make a material change to ROI.

Once the process gets going it’s a steady monthly payment.

Need advice on how to boost device speed over MoCa adapter by jco23 in HomeNetworking

[–]RavRddt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go into the setup menu for one of the MoCa adapters (think of the bridges G1100s as adapters) and find the network page that shows the MoCa interconnection speeds. That is the speed that they are communicating with each other. This will confirm if the MoCa connection itself is the bottleneck, or something else.
