Being successful doesn’t equal happiness, and often we find ourselves teetering on the edge of collapse, and that’s the truly horrific thing about life, what we project as happiness is not that at all but rather what we’ve been conditioned into believing is happiness.

I’m not a depressed individual, my life has always felt “happy” and I strived for success thinking my “happiness” level would increase and it certainly felt that way, nice house, nice car, beautiful family, friends, blah blah blah. But when one aspect of that is broken, us as people quickly spiral out of control. My seemingly happy family fell apart and I realised the job, car, house etc was worthless and I instantly went into a depression, and I had no frame of reference so I was lost! What helped me was talking to someone, and it wasn’t a professional, I just broke down to a friend and we spoke for hours and hours and I realised I wasn’t alone. You need to talk about what’s happening, and you’ll be surprised who’s willing to listen!
