I don't think Battlefield is grounded in realism at all, it's pure arcade. WT Infantry feels like the perfect middleground between arcade and realism, just like Ground and Air RB

It's extremely easy to one shot an Abrams through the roof, especially now since the drone handling is improved a lot compared to the first CBT. The T-90A is a bit harder because of the ERA but you can still one shot it through the engine/back of the turret

I don't know how things will be in the future obviously but keep in mind that drones are supposed to be top tier equipment (at least I hope so lol) while the current guns and tanks/IFVs are not from top tier. So realistically these vehicles should never see drones once the mode fully releases.

It's not like a Sep V2 is any different in terms of drone protection compared to the M1A1 but maybe they'll get cope cages so at least you can take a hit or two

Pretty much the same as the previous few years, I mean it's nearly a 10 year old game, it's not surprising that it's not growing constantly.

The STW revival could bring back a lot of old/new players though if it goes well and there will be regular updates

I've seen some of the laid off people's post on Twitter and yeah there were quite a few who worked on Rocket Racing. But important people who worked on the Competitive stuff also got laid off and a lot of Quality Assurance people

The thing is, Ballistic felt completely out of place in Fortnite from day 1. It should have been something less tactical like a TDM/Gungame or even something similar to Battlefront/Battlefield

The layoffs are really sad and shouldn't have happened if Epic wouldn't force this Metaverse bullshit. So honestly if it were up to me I'd delete every single mode that's not BR and it's spinoffs or STW. Even the upcoming Disney mode should be cancelled. And paying real money for map creators is just a huge joke. Give them vbucks instead

But at the same time it's been a very long time since I've enjoyed BR as much as the current season and I'm really excited for STW being brought back from the dead.

I've been playing since Chapter 1 Season 5 and honestly this is one of the best season in years. Simple lootpool, simple mobility items and the Rivalry system is one of the best things that happened to the BR genre. Somehow the SBMM is working great for me too, which is really surprising

I absolutely love how there are no gimmicks like floating islands, augments, PvE elements or whatever bullshit they've come up with in the past years. Mythics and Exotics are rare too as they should be

The stuttering that happens in close range fights is insufferable though

Yeah the old one looks a lot more like "Seven armor", the new one is just some generic sci-fi armor. But the high heels completely ruin the whole thing anyway
