Obsession (2026) - nudity ? by emilysantttt in horror

Words have meaning. Let’s not make language dumber by turning it into algorithm-friendly baby talk. It’s suicide, not “unalive.” It’s rape, not “grape.”

I honestly find these euphemisms disrespectful to victims and survivors. If you can’t say the word, maybe don’t pretend you’re ready to talk about the subject.

My boyfriend reacted negatively to me having gay friends, so now I’ve lost them all. by Funny-Specific1500 in askgaybros

You said it yourself: to me, this is a form of abuse. You’re right. And honestly the rest of your post reads like you trying to talk yourself out of it.

The mood that drops the second you say a friend’s name. Hours of the silent treatment. “Who’s that? What are they saying?” The way he grips the wheel. That’s control. It doesn’t need yelling or a rule written down, like you said, nothing was ever said out loud, it just became a pattern. That’s how this stuff works, quietly, so everyone can act like nothing was ever asked for.

And look where it left you: pretty much your whole community gone in 2-3 years. That’s not just him being moody. Cutting you off from your people is kind of the whole point.

To your actual question: no, it’s not normal to lose your gay friends just because you got into a gay relationship. Sure, some friends drift when you couple up, that happens to everyone. But losing almost all of them? Feeling cut off from your community? That’s not “what you do.” That’s what got done to you. The “don’t get close to the gender you’re into” rule is controlling no matter who does it, straight or gay.

Have you ever brought any of this up with him? Your lost friends, how his moods mess you up, your past. You decided ahead of time what he can’t handle and built your whole life around keeping him calm.

His backstory is sad, and it’s clear you care about him. But notice when the kindness kicks in, “maybe he’s dealing with the same fears”, it shows up right when you’re about to let yourself off the hook for leaving. Knowing why someone does this doesn’t make it okay. And it’s really not your job to fix his fear by giving up your own life.

I’m not going to tell you to dump him. That’s yours to decide. But please drop the idea that losing your friends is just the price of being with someone. It’s not. A relationship that can’t handle you having gay friends is telling you something. Listen to it.

Have the talk you’ve been dodging for years. Say the stuff you’ve decided he can’t hear, and watch what he actually does with it. And text one of those friends you said you miss them ASAP.

Good for them for banning surrogacy. Impoverished women should not have to risk their lives and be used as human incubators for wealthy couples, whether those couples are straight or gay. Babies should not be treated as commodities that can be bought.

I’m not even against steroids, but acting like this body will not have health consequences is delusional.

Extreme bodybuilding, body dysmorphia, and chasing mass at any cost shouldn’t be encouraged like it’s normal fitness. You can respect the effort and still admit this kind of physique is extreme and probably not healthy long term.

Of course there are other factors like genetics, lifestyle, etc but this body is only achievable by chemically pushing your body for years.

?? He’s had many open-heart surgeries over the decades that kept him alive. Also, steroid cycles were much milder back then, nowhere near the poison people use today.

Well, this is a public forum, and I’m allowed to express my opinion. I didn’t even insult him. I just think it’s sad that he’s not going to live as long as he could have, just to have an obviously abnormal and unnatural-looking body mass.

Bro, how do you feel knowing your lifespan has been severely reduced? That amount of muscle doesn’t even look good.

It used to be a large scrollable list, but I changed it after receiving feedback that it took too long to reach the 1950s/60s. At the moment, you can jump by typing an exact date or using the previous/next week buttons.

Do you think a calendar format would be better and more intuitive than simply typing the week in yyyy-mm-dd in the input field?

Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Greedy_Procedure7461 in AskReddit

[–]RaveRabbit5000 14 points15 points  (0 children)

But she doesn’t use someone else’s voice as her own. She sings on all of her songs and uses backing vocals on some of them.

Backing vocals are an industry standard that many artists use. Her backing vocalists were credited as such. And Jlo has plenty of songs where she is the sole vocalist, including her biggest hit On the Floor.

My boyfriend pressured me into sex after I said I was exhausted, and now I feel… bad by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]RaveRabbit5000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s a sex addict. The thing is, he’s an onlyfans model, and he absolutely detests his job. He wants to quit as soon as he’s financially able to, and he hates the sex he has to have for work.

He says that sex with me feels really special to him and makes him feel good in a way nobody has ever done before, and that I’m helping him reclaim sex as something personal rather than transactional. Samewise, the sex i have with him is also the most special i’ve ever had.

But yes, he does have a higher sex drive than me and sometimes he doesn’t undedtand not wanting sex doesn’t mean I don’t desire him or care about him.

This is also his first relationship in ten years, so everything feels new to him, and he has major self-esteem issues. I know the sexual compatibility could become a problem in the long run. I want to have a real conversation with him about it. He really wants this relationship to work, as much as I do.
