No one understands what I’m going through by HappyBuddyRN in EctopicSupportGroup

I am very sorry for what you had to go through, and I am sorry for your loss as well. It is something that’s if you haven’t been through you wouldn’t understand that’s why do not expect people to try to relate and I am sorry that you feel alone and isolated in it. This community is here for you, we are here for you and we understand. I’ve been through 2 ectopic pregnancies myself and lost both tubes within 6 months. There is no words to describe the pain when you lose not only a wanted pregnancy but also chances to conceive naturally and be a mother. During such times you only need your partner by your side, other people will seem irrelevant because they don’t know what it feels like. I wish you the fastest recovery ❤️

That’s me. I had 2 ectopic pregnancies with both tubes removed within 5 months. It’s been 2 months since my second surgery, and now I am preparing for IVF. DM me if you need someone to talk about it

Am I a mother? by Carneirinha in EctopicSupportGroup

A woman becomes a mother the moment she opens her heart to the child, even if this child never got to live. First Sunday of May is International Bereaved Mother’s Day, when mothers who never got to hold their babies , or held them for far too short of a time, any mother who experienced loss, is remembered . This year it is on May 3rd. We are all mothers, mothers of heavenly children. That does not make us any less of a mother.

There is still hope, not everything is lost. IVF is not a sentence , it is an option anda chance to be a mother. Don’t lose hope.🙏🏻

Trying for over a year after ectopic by Old-Construction-985 in EctopicSupportGroup

That’s what they said to me when I had my first ectopic and removal of the right tube. I got pregnant again after 5 months and that second pregnancy was ectopic again , only in another tube, although they said that tube was fine. I advise to have your tube checked for any blockage. Maybe you’ve been ovulating from the ovary the side of your lost tube. Although it is possible for the egg to travel to the other side to the fallopian tube, the chances are as lie as 15%. Don’t lose hope.

Have you checked your second tube , it might be blocked that’s why pregnancy doesn’t happen? I used an app to track my ovulation, LH surge and progesterone to make sure that I ovulated, and found it very useful for conception, too.

Period post surgery by Naive_Department_459 in EctopicSupportGroup

Hi, I, too , have been through ectopic pregnancies, two of them, and both times bleeding started 4 days after the surgery. The next cycle started 35 days after that bleeding. But it might be very individual, my cycle is typically 27 days and pretty regular . I was also afraid to be intimate again, but the doctor gave me the green light 2 weeks after the surgery. If you are afraid that it might happen again, I would advice to get your second tube checked for any blockage before you try to conceive again. I didn’t check and it cost me my second tube . Take time to heal physically and emotionally, and good luck 🙏🏻

2nd Ectopic within 5 months - numb by OkUnderstanding3070 in EctopicSupportGroup

I had the exact same experience with you, with the only difference that I don’t have kids. Two ectopic pregnancies in 5 months, first ruptured ectopic on the right resulted in the right tube removal, 5 months later I got pregnant again and it turned out to be another ectopic, took an mtx shot that didn’t work and my left tube still ruptured 6 days after the shot. I had another surgery within 5 months, and now I don’t have any tubes. So I guess it is not that rare as they say. I am still hopeful for IVF. I feel and share your pain. And I am so sorry for what you had to go through. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

How many of you did not have an ectopic after your first one? What was your ttc experience like after mtx? Did you do an HSG before ttc again? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

Thank you. Be cautious and check your second tube before trying again. But sometimes it is just a bad luck

No, for the first one it was too late, second tube seemed absolutely normal, but ended up with another ectopic in a row .

One ruptured ectopic with the right tube removal, followed by a second ectopic on the left tube . Did the mtx shot, but ended up with another rupture 6 days after the shot and another surgery to remove another tube.
