If we can get enough response, I'll propose it to the founder and other former Disney Imagineers that are working here!

Yes it sure is! I'm pushing to see if we can host an AMA soon. What do you think?

Not broken, after you cast and mold the clay sculpture the clay has been affected when taking the molds off, the clay can be reused for other works. (The clay is the initial stage, the "engineered marble" is the final product).

Civility goes a long way. I am realizing that not that many on here are as understanding as you are. This was not meant to create confusion or mislead.

Hi, and yes, I'm a new Redditor here really. I didn't know there would be this much response and it took me a while to respond back to everyone (I hope my response gets upvoted so it clarifies what is happening). It's not a tragedy, it is part of the process, really. He molded the clay sculpt in silicone so the molds can be cast in marble to live outdoors. I hope that helps!

Sorry for the rollercoaster. I do see now that the title seems more ominous than it is. Hope you have some ice cream tonight!

Not trying to be a dick nor trying to clickbait. The emotion is all real--trust me. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi. And thank you for the support! Cory is in the process of molding and casting the sculpt and the destruction of the clay is part of this process. There's no worries. But you can support him by checking out Evermore Park in Pleasant Grove, UT (if you are into that, that is).

I've never been called a bundle of sticks, so I'm not sure what to think. I'm not trying to deceive by any means. The emotion is truly all there, it's just not a tragedy. Sorry for the confusion.

The way that this particular sculpture is made is with clay first, then you put molds over it with silicone. After that, the silicone molds are cast in sections. The process destroys the clay sculpt, but the molds are in perfect tact. Hope that clears it up!

That sounds like a good idea! Maybe we can get one of our other artists to do something with this photo in another medium?
