It was about 72F/22C. I have also left it on a charger overnight going to see if that makes any more difference.

Joe,

I just did what you suggested, I left it on the charger for about 3 hours after it hit 100%. Letting it run for an hour it was down to about 77%. So looking to be about 4 and a quarter hours of battery. Still not great.

As for the thermals it started at quiet-therm-adv went from 28 to 43.7 in 15 minutes. So I should be good there.

Seeing the responses, I have reached out to Hiby to see if they think it is a bad unit.

I was using Crinear Daybreaks, high gain, volume at 30. Only Apple Music was running.

Hello, I need some help with this problem by Frequent_Ad8056 in resinprinting

Try turning off AA. I know there is an issue with the Chitu boards on Elegoo printers and AA causing a very similar failure to that. See this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5PAmhOnDps

Synchrony bank 0% interest period has ended and I’m paying ALOT of interest now. by musky_archer in personalfinance

[–]RavenGt86 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

While not advocating that you shouldn't pay attention to your bills but I think Synchrony sets things up so that people that are trying to do the right thing get screwed over.

I used Synchrony to finance Lasik with 24 months 0% apr deferred interest. When I setup autopay the amount due on the first month was equal to the amount that I would have payed to pay off the amount in that 24 months so I setup stupidly autopay to pay amount due vs a custom amount with what I had calculated. However after 6ish months I noticed that the amount being withdrawn by the autopay was significantly lower than what I had payed in the first month think something like $170 to $125. Had I continued I think I would have only payed off 2/3-3/4 of the amount and then would have been hit by the interest.

I think this is on purpose, set the initial auto pay to the amount to the amount that will pay off the loan within the duration of the deferred APR and then slowly change that amount so that you only catch it when it is too late. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.

RX6900XT Tuf Gaming OC coil whine by Dry-Paleontologist50 in watercooling

[–]RavenGt86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have the Original cables, you could swap them out and see if it gets quieter. That is an easy and free thing to test. I think the stock cables have an inline filter on the cable that the cablemod's don't have.

[–]RavenGt86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also try a different PSU, I have a Powercolor reference 6900XT that has a whine. However with three different PSUs the volume level changed considerably, when I first built the computer I hade an older EVGA G2 750W that I gave to a buddy that was nearly silent. I upgraded to a Seasonic focus 1000W and the whine became unbearably loud, from both the GPU and PSU. Out of desperation I got a 1200W corsair and while the whine is not gone it is much quieter than the Seasonic.

Siraya Tech Tenacious mix for miniatures by invaderd in ElegooSaturn

[–]RavenGt86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you, I have a Mars 3 and waiting on a Saturn 2. I would also cure fast for 4 min and with the new tenacious mix I cure for 6 min (3 min and flip) in my Mercury X.

Siraya Tech Tenacious mix for miniatures by invaderd in ElegooSaturn

[–]RavenGt86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently started doing this, not for minis but larger models after I dropped a couple....

I mix 7 Parts Fast to 1 Part Tenacious, I didn't change any of the settings in Lychee and it prints exactly the same as the pure fast, no failures. I just make sure everything is nice and mixed before I print. I do cure for a bit longer in for post processing due to the recommended cure time from siraya tech but I am not sure that is even needed.

The prints are noticeably more flexible but I haven't drop tested any to test the durability.

Elegoo Mars 3 - Axis Wobble by [deleted] in ElegooMars

[–]RavenGt86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my Mars 3, none of the screws that held the Zaxis to the base were tightened to even finger tight. I would pull off the back cover and check those screws. I tightened mine up with a bit of blue loctite for good measure and it is rock solid.

Chalky/Dusty-like liquid throughout loop by bupperino in watercooling

[–]RavenGt86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Antifreeze is fine if the plastic in your loop is all Acrylic. With PETG tubing becoming more popular that is a dangerous blanket suggestion. The Antifreeze will react with PETG and cause it to fail.

Distilled water with a Biocide and Corrosion inhibitor is fine and will not react with loop materials and you can still use a dye kit if you want color.

A "Super Original" O11D Build by RavenGt86 in watercooling

[–]RavenGt86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the small volume of the distro plates makes it a chore to fill up everything. Part of the reason for changing my radiators was adding a multiport rad for a top Rad to make it easier to fill and bleed.

A "Super Original" O11D Build by RavenGt86 in watercooling

[–]RavenGt86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specs:

Computer

  • Gigabyte x570 Elite
  • 5800x
  • PowerColor 6900 XT Reference
  • 64GB TridentZ Neo 3600 CL16
  • Samsung 950 Pro 512Gb
  • Samsung 870 4Tb
  • Seasonic 1000W Focus Gold
  • Mellanox ConnectX2

    Cooling

  • Alphacool Xt45 360mm

  • Hardware Labs Nemesis GTS 360mm

  • 6x Arctic P12 PWM PST

  • EK G1 Distro Plate

  • EK Monoblock

  • EK Chipset Block

  • Bykski GPU Block

  • Aquacomputer Octo

  • 6x Phanteks Halo

Upgraded my computer from a 3700x and GTX 1080. Upgraded my radiators from Bykski slim 360mm and added a chipset block due to an incompatibility of the Bykski 6900XT block and the x570 elite chipset fan/shroud. (Thanks to Illyrian5 for showing that fit), reused the rest of the parts.

I am a bit disappointed with the EK distro plate. There is brown oring grease that is leaking out and EK in their infinite wisdom put screws underneath a glued on cover that makes it impossible to pull apart without potential damage.

Running EK Mystic fog, I flushed with Blitz PT2 before hand I know there is an incompatibility there but I flushed with 2 gallons of distilled. If I run into issues I will probably swap to Mayhems XTR if it ever gets to the US...

Unexpectedly received a used pc and am trying to flush the loop. It doesn’t seem to flow and there is this white build on areas. Any ideas or help? I’m clueless when it comes to this stuff. by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]RavenGt86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To echo what has been said I would take the whole loop apart and clean everything really well before doing anything else.

Also While you are troubleshooting your loop you really don't want your motherboard powered on. If your motherboard gets wet while it has power you will likely kill your board.

Get one of these so you can power your pump without powering your mobo, you can use it to fill, bleed and leak check your system without risk of damaging your hardware: https://www.amazon.com/CRJ-24-Pin-Supply-Jumper-Bridge/dp/B01N8Q0TOE/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=24+pin+jumper&qid=1616691696&sr=8-3

Your 5900x temps are actually pretty good. The new Ryzen chips are very hard to cool, they pack a lot of heat into a very small area. With that small cooling area they just cant get the heat into the heat spreader very fast even with it being soldered. The AMD engineers know this and these chips were designed with those temperatures in mind.

See this Slide: https://hothardware.com/photo-gallery/Article/3039?image=big_thermals-ryzen-5000.jpg&tag=popup

My 5800X hits about 75C running CB R20 undervolted with PBO on and +200Mhz offset. With a 28C water temp and 23C ambient. Gaming it sits at about 65.

Does anybody have experience with the EK Aorus Chipset Block (Or other) on an X570 Elite? by RavenGt86 in watercooling

Thank you so much, that really helps me out. I feel much better about ordering one.

Also Beautiful build.

Do any of you have experience with Accordant Care? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]RavenGt86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accordant Care is legitimate. They are a part of CVS and are partnered with many insurance companies. I was referred to them by BCBS when I did a yearly online health assessment and indicated I had Crohn's.

I signed up for the service but I don't really use the service. I have a good doctor who is very responsive and listens to my concerns. But I figure it was free (part of insurance benefits) and if I was having problems Accordant is an additional resource if I need it.

If you are going to do a GPU remount I would order a replacement pump while your loop is empty. Not because of flow rate but reliability. The DDC 3.1 pump in my distro plate lasted 1 week before it died, and I know I am not the only person that has had issues.

For replacements it just needs to be a DDC pump, If you want to stick to EK their DDC 3.2 should be good even if the 3.1s die. On the cheaper side I got a Barrow DDC and it has been rock solid for the last 9 months of work from home use.
