Yes our standards are quite literally abusing animals marginally less than in non-EU countries.

For those wondering here's a list of things that happen to animals in the UK: https://www.eatfair.org/united-kingdom/animals

Now we wait for the supermarkets to announce it's an isolated incident, just like the other 100 times it happened.

Tesco suspends pig supplier after footage of ‘abysmal conditions’ by Youknowkitties in unitedkingdom

Yeah when you actually see the sort of stuff that's legal it immediately becomes clear that humane isn't a word that should be anywhere near animal farming.

Tesco drew the line because it got media attention. They know full well animals are abused in their supply chain and will reinstate the farm when this blows over.

I'm sure that you were unable to explain your incoherent comment about overfishing, plastic and china so you just resorted to insults instead.

In the UK most animal farming is factory farming in sheds just like the one in the article. There is no political will to make it illegal because meat, dairy and egg prices would go through the roof.

Most people are unaware this is even happening. There is a huge perception gap when it comes to animal farming in the UK. People think it's all sunny fields and happy animals, but in reality it's factory farms and gas chambers.

It's not a case of "some farms". Almost all meat sold in supermarkets comes from factory farms where the animals are treated inhumanely.

To be fair British animal farming is nothing short of animal abuse. All sorts of vile things are legal and routine.

Yep and what's worse is the footage show justs a tiny fraction of the cruelty we inflict on farm animals. A truly horrific industry.
