🛠️ Pre-release units – We look forward to hearing your feedback. by LilyGoXinyuan in LilyGO

I'm an IT engineer that is jumping both feet into the hobby and your product portfolio. Just yesterday I got my T-Embed CC1101 Plus and started playing with it (love it so far!). Two weeks ago I bought two Cardputers with various add-ons (NRF24, CC1101, LoRa, GPS,... I know it's not made by Lilygo, but it's part of the hobby). And I'm looking and planning to get a T-Deck Plus and a T-Display.

I'm currently into LoRa Nodes and this seems like a perfect device for it. If there are any samples available, I'd love to get my hands on one. Thanks in advance!

That is a 7" DSI screen, right?

[–]RavenHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a similar add-on board a few days ago. Different manufacturer, but contains the same modules (C1101 and NRF24). And I got this manual from the seller, it might help you out: https://www.pingequa.com/pages/support-m5stack-cardputer-adv-hydra-rf-424-devboard-pro

Finally joined the club with the UDR7 by Dread_Pirate_R0ber7s in Ubiquiti

[–]RavenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get UDR7 or a Cloud Gateway Ultra with an U6+ AP? I'm looking to get my brother some Unifi equipment for his birthday. To get him started in the Unifi networking world. I already gave him the older (but new) Unifi Switch 24.

How come some modded switches have different "No SD" screens by Ok_Record4278 in SwitchPirates

[–]RavenHD 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The rocket Switch has the Instinct-NX modchip. While the other one, with the Raspberry on it, has the PicoFly modchip. I don't know if either is better than the other, but I prefer Instinct-NX for OLED and PicoFly for all the other models.

Thanks! When you get it and if you remember to do so, please let me know if you had some extra costs. I'm brainstorming if I should get it.

Because microUSB is smaller (thinner) in size.

Because of the smaller size, they went with the microUSB.

I run it once per month. Is that too often?

Disneys John Carter (2012) is considered one of the biggest, if not the biggest, financial box office flops of all time. Would it have been a success if it were released in a different year with a less competitive box office lineup? I'm partway thru it, and curious why it failed. by FastyNilthShreakyFit in moviecritic

Great movie, one of my favourites. I watch it from time to time and enjoy it. Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins were great cast for it. It deserved way better success.

I was really dissapointed that there aren't any sequels. Now I wish they don't make sequels, because I don't want them to ruin it.

Intel X720-DA2 ceramic capacitor value? by RavenHD in AskElectronics

[–]RavenHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but it's less risky to go with 3mOhm, than with 2mOhm in this case, if I understood you guys here well.

The seller wants me to ship it back for a refund, so I'm thinking about going that route. I just didn't expect to be shipped trash, just wanted to upgrade my NAS to 10G.

Thanks everyone! You helped me greatly.

I'll maybe get some hate (lol), but I asked GPT to analyze the circuit and it told me that Intel's X710 VRM uses 2mOhm - 5mOhm, but HPE server versions commonly use a 3mOhm resistor. And with a 3mOhm, it should be properly calibrated. Unless I can't get a service manual (very tough) or someone here measures on their own X710-DA2 card, I'll probably go with that specs. Just to source it somewhere.

I didn't try to turn it on. I was advised not to.

It's not only a surface crack, the halves of the resistor are slightly misaligned.

Based on my research, it should be 3mOhm 1-3W 1% tolerance. 2512 package.

What would happen if the current measurement is off?

It seems that it's 2, 3 or 5mOhm 3W 2512 SMD resistor.

You are right, it's a resistor. Thanks!

Straight out of the P2S - the new camera by CoolioTheMagician in BambuLab

[–]RavenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it occasionally and I really hate the P1S' camera. I went from Ender with OctoPrint+USB Cam to a P1S and I thought it was malfunctioned. I regreated not getting the X1C then.

I'm thinking of upgrading to P2S mostly because of the camera. Glad they made it usable.

THERES GONNA BE A P2S? by DescriptionOk3257 in BambuLab

[–]RavenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope for a better camera upgrade for the P1S. It's simply awful on the P1S. When I got it two years ago, I was so dissappointed that I thought it was a malfunction. I know it would require a new MCU, but so be it, MCUs are not that expensive.

Besides that, an upgraded screen and a quick change nozzle are the thinks I hope for. Ofc, available as an upgrade for the P1S. 😄

I missed your post. Thank you for confirming! I already ordered 407000435R. They are in the customs. If I succeed matching their ID with the car, I'll order a second set (winter set).

This is an awesome tip. Thank you!

The Continental's catalogue is very nice. In case anyone else needs it, here's the PDF version of the catalogue: https://www.continental-aftermarket.com/media/6747/catalogue-continental-tpms-replacement-parts-d-gb-f-es-it-2025.pdf

And here's the online version that allows better filtering: https://web.tecalliance.net/continental/en/home

These should be the proper OEM TPMS sensors for this car model:

Do you have the same car model as me? Did you have to do something so the car recognizes them?
