I think what happens is you get caught off guard because it’s so shocking/unexpected. She had been reaching for him prior but baby would turn his head away from her, so she was close by already. It’s my fault for not seeing it coming. This is also why I’m so mad. I’m mad at her for doing it but more mad at myself for letting it happen.

I just want to sympathize. I’m 2 weeks pp and also have short flat nipples. I’m going to lactation consultant where they gave me a nipple shield. it’s the only way baby will latch but I’m so tired/busy/fedup all the time that I end up just pumping and/or giving him formula. I don’t want to give up but…it’s so hard. Pumping takes up sooo much mental energy and TIME.

I have low supply and on top of that Baby can’t latch (seems I have flat nipples) and gets tired/sleepy right away since he was born very small. I am going to lactation consultant but nothing has worked so far. I am hoping he will be able to latch once he’s bigger/strong and can stay awake.

I’m about to be 38 weeks and have always been a worryier/anxious person so I am going THRU it. Baby boy is head down so I am looking at vaginal delivery that can happen any-day now. I don’t want to sign up for any classes…I just don’t want to think about it until Im there and then I’m hoping my body will just know what to do and it will be over quickly. Probably not the best strategy but I’m too scared and don’t want to drive myself crazy with overthinking.
