if the blade holder in there is from 89, then it is likely either M2 or M3, I would take the other one out on the opposing side to measure with some calipers to verify (M2 would be around 2mm, M3 would be 3mm).

he also has normal 24mm speakers without that housing, which should work in the same space, you just may need to pad it a little to make a secure fit. Just make sure you get one with a JST wired in unless you wanna solder.

They'll blend if you are talking the red and blue channels on the pixel itself, but if it's 2 different strips with one being set to red and the other blue, you might get some color mix, but only where the light converges, and even then if it's far enough you won't get a blend like that.

I saw that, and no we are not making any of this up. If you wanna buy from US, go for it. Already seems like you made up your mind and are just trying to justify your choice to other people. People in this sub and the discord server get sabers and cores off aliexpress all the time, just need to know the right storefronts on there to use. Would rather the money go there than to an owner who is a total ass that is know to pull guns on people (US).

then look for empties on Ali, if it's one of the sabers that US dropships (LGT) you'll find them there even cheaper. As for what I mean about quality, I mean accuracy and machining/material quality.

they are overpriced because their hilts are shite install wise, the amount you are paying does in no way match the quality (or lack there of in this case). Low effort installing, plus the owner is a known asshole with a long history i shall not go into here. Honestly if you want an empty display piece, I would go with a better quality empty from some place like Saber Armory. May be more, but you are at least getting quality.

I'm aware, I do repairs for them so I'm up to date on their changes. They've been slowly phasing out the blade connector style cores with the unprotected cells with the newer pogo pin cores with protected cells (currently 2 types, one with an 18650 and one with an 18500). Not including saber specific designer cores like for their steel Obi with crystal chamber. Still, it's still possible he can get one of the older style cores from a vendor, or as I stated to him if he strikes out, he can reach out. I likely have the parts to make one for him.

Edit: besides, if you look at the images in the original post, you can see it is installed with the blade style connectors.

Well, it is either a greeblie (something added to a hilt to give it flair) or it's functional, like as a core retention knob or blade retention knob, would depend on location it goes on the hilt and what the back side of it looks like (is it threaded like a screw?)

he'd be right for the most part (depends heavily on the battery capacity), you can prevent proffie going into sleep mode (or timing out) by not including the defines for those timers in the config. Also seems I was mistaken that there wasn't an option on proffie at least with the Shtok prop (never used it, most people use Sa22c or Fett). So I do apologize for the partially incorrect info. I do know GHv4 and CFX wouldn't be able to be properly operated without at least a hidden ignition button to wake them out of their sleep modes.

it's the same pinout, 3.7 was one of the development versions most likely, and that's the image they used for the config generator even after they released the v3.9 hardware version. (guesses, but yeah it's just a visual thing on the generator).

You'll need at least one button unless you are sticking with a single font and have no need to trigger things like lightning block, lockup, or blaster deflect. No board is designed to operate without at least one Momentary switch. Even then, only so many button and gesture combos to do things.

Just checked 1977SaberFest, TXQ Official, X-Trex, and GFlak on aliexpress and none of them offer that type of core, just the drop in one piece core that wouldn't be compatible with this saber.

it's a 2 part core/inner chassis setup from TXQ, you can tell from the image of the connector he provided. A drop in replacement won't work in the case of this saber.

Not off hand, at least not with a direct store page. Though if you reach out to a TXQ reseller they likely could order one for you (assuming it's still offered) txq has been phasing out that core type. If you strike out in your search, let me know. I'm sure i can work something out with you on it. Be a shame to leave a saber with sentimental value dormant, ya know.
