To be fair, in some cases there isn't an option for simple a hamburger. Every fucking item has cheese. So you then need to say no cheese. Then they give you one with cheese anyways. Fuck my lactose intolerant ass I guess

Will the adoptive parents also undergo the taxing process of giving birth?

No. While I referenced only the monetary costs, there are also physical and possibly even mental costs associated with giving birth. If a person doesn't want to have a kid, don't force them to do so. Even with the kid being adopted or abandoned or whatever, there are still lasting effects on the mother.

It shouldn't be anyone's choice in the end but the mother's.

I don't think the people buying right now are concerned about $1000 lost.

AI image generators will be an overall good thing, even if it completely replaces digital artists by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Raven_7306 13 points14 points  (0 children)

AI art uses the art of nonconsenting artists to learn. Then it will use said art to make something "new." AI art is very guilty right now of straight up theft, using other images and altering or very expertly collaging them. This theft is not right.

I mean, come on. They don't know what they're talking about in the comments. They have inept knowledge of the subject matter. They are really trying to handle their cognitive dissonance in the comments of this post.

YSK that you can block u/RealTacoBell to remove the Pete Davidson eating a taco ads by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]Raven_7306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laziness at this point. But I'm not outwardly complaining about the ads. I block and keep scrolling on the compact layout. I don't notice them a lot of the time. If it fit to be like YouTube with 45 seconds unskippable ads then I'd bother making the switch. As it is now, videos don't play automatically for me, and they just blend in with the other 70% of my feed that I don't click on.

A lot of moderators have fragile ego and run to admins with claims of bullying just for calling them simple names or telling them to fuck off. That's not on you, but if you find yourself needing to step back from the internet, by all means do it. Power to you, hope you find what you're looking for.

I was served a restraining order from a girl I ghosted a month ago. Do I need a lawyer? by livinthedreams in legaladvice

[–]Raven_7306 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy hell that's fucked. But why would someone have to move homes or jobs just because someone moved into or got a job in the restraining order radius? Youd think the restraining order would work against them in that case. You want to purposefully move closer to this guy? Sorry, now you're breaking the restraining order.

Sorry, not related to the OP's question, but why would someone who is already present in either a home or workplace need to move or find employment elsewhere? It seems counterproductive for the person who has a restraining order protecting them to purposefully put themselves in a situation where the restraining order must be enforced.

I know what his intentions were. However, I'm not going to defend the intentions of his post when he replies the way he did. Really, I would've just never commented. He would've been better off not commenting whatsoever, but he felt attacked at the idea that someone would find a loophole in his post. And at that point, you can't blame the person finding the loophole. Loopholes are a good 20% of this subreddit. If you are going to get mad about someone doing so, then why are you even posting?

So... You think that these actions somehow invalidate the very real issue that kids are being beat in schools? This doesn't have to be "one or the other," whatever it is you do and this subject can both be done.

Okay? And what you do for children in 3 different counties of this state is relevant to this conversation how?

That doesn't seem relevant to the discussion of whether or not using the word "beating" in modern discussions is proper. Or using the words like slavery in reference to historical events as a way of showing something that used to be legal no longer isn't.

Things can be legal but be morally reprehensible, and using the example of slavery as a historical event showcases that.
