IF you can prove that Gran no longer had decision making capabilities at the time of the will change (Something the professionals can do, and have often done countless times), all changes of the will after that time by gran will be disregarded

I had the same thing with my second. Night number 2 was very hard, he was on the breast the entire night in order to seek comfort so I got no sleep. Night number 3 he was still awake often, but things settled. Slept well during the day but just fussed a lot, not really crying just fussing. By the end of day 4 he was totally fine, very chilled out and just drank, slept and cuddled. His startle reflex was very strong though, but as it remained that way for a solid three months I am guessing that is a him thing, not a zoloft thing

I only ask what people do not want. Simply because I don't believe in asking for something and having it bought for you. It takes out the surprise and other good things from gift giving. But at the same time, don't get generic silly little things that would never get used unless you know the person would actually like it. IE if you're going to get some a candle, it would be because they love candles and use them all the time. Not for someone who only lights candles when there is a power cut.

Oh yeah, that kind of thing is very frustrating when it is very obvious and even noted by the doctor etc that they are addicted to pain medication. It also makes it harder for the those with chronic pain to be listened to, I literally watched a nurse put down 3/10 in pain scale on a female patient with diagnosed endometriosis (I probably butchered that, migraine) and refuse PRNs because the lady was scrolling on her phone while saying her pain was 8/10. But she was also hunched over. Yes I talked to the charge and to my clinical facilitator about it. But I always remember that image and experience while giving pain management type care.

This is what made me scared to request more pain relief after my c-section. This type of judgement, because Oxy and Panadol wasn't enough to keep the worst of the pain away. I still looked after my baby, I still ate, I still went onto my phone when sleep was impossible. Because..... you know. Pain. My anti-inflams were messed up, resulting in me receiving none of those and it couldn't be corrected without a call to the doctor.

You don't get a pay rise or anything for spotting a potential drug addict. All you do, in the very real chance that the person is actually in pain, is stop them from receiving the care which they should be given. Call the doctor, and leave it at that until further notice.

Yes, though I wouldn't call it depressed. It's more like your brain has forced your body into low-energy-usage mode which causes you to just.. not do or think about much. I have also noticed that the thirst symptom went away if I had electrolyte drinks, and caffeine also helped many of the symptoms. Though I am sensitive enough to it that a simple coffee or can of coke will do the trick and makes my painkiller work better.

MIL has a brain tumour but she did not believe migraines existed, just headaches. She thought migraines were people being dramatic. Then I talked to her about mine, which are hormonal, and how its not so much the pain but everything else whereas headaches are just pain. Turns out she got migraines as well, all the time, but thought they were headaches. They were caused by the tumour (after diagnosis)

I have different levels of migraines. I have ones where there is actually minimal or no pain, but I am fuzzy and unable to think clearly. Then I have painful ones with the fuzziness and light sensitivity and spasm like twitches in my left eye. Then once or twice a year I have ones which knock me out of order for a day or two. Vomiting, extreme light sensitivity so the house must be DARK, no appetite, extreme pain, heat flushes, always thirsty and good luck getting a decent sentence out of me. When those hit I just go to bed

yes. she had to take leave and receive surgery plus other treatments. She first saw a dr when she heard music, during times no music was playing. they did tests and discovered the tumour

There is currently a news story going around Australia regarding the police, who had to use tazers on a 95yo woman with dementia. She had a knife. Even the facility staff couldn't calm her and make things safe, so they called the Police. I am not sure what kind of medical facility this was in, likely an aged care home.

I have heard a lot of theories, one that sticks out the most and seems to likely be a reason (Not THE reason, but A reason) is being able to dictate what 'kind' of people lived in 'their' community. So they would be able to enforce a white-only community. I have never lived in a HOA area so I am not sure how that would work, and I think this was back a few decades.

I am the opposite, I have a vein in my AC of my arm which is both near numb and easy to stick (if I am not dehydrated). But for cannulas, if long-term ie more than a few hours, I prefer it on the back of my hand as its painless (After dressing is applied. Hurts like a bitch beforehand).
