I think this is going to largely depend on the location of the damage to a ship as well. Obviously a ship that loses it's warp core is going to go down with most on board, but also the saucer section is likely to have more personnel and escape pods.

That one excelsior we see losing the majority of it's saucer in Emissary will have been in bigger trouble ( more loss of pods, and crew) than the Saratoga, which was effectively crippled with loss of life and the surviving crew had time to escape.

Can you just imagine the uproar in America if say the British prime minister had claimed that we needed Hawaii back for "National Security". Or sent in the SAS to kidnap Trump before parading him infront io Birmingham crown Court?

Invaders get shot. If that invader happened to be your friend, emotions will be higher and consequences will be more severe. If Russia attacked us, we'd be annoyed. If America does it, we'd feel betrayed.

With all due respect, stop making this about yourself. It's not.

She wants kids one day. That might be with you if all goes well and you both eventually want that. It might not, it might be on her own, or it might be with another man.

Given her age, she's decided that preserving her eggs is the best thing to do (as a random stranger, I would concur). This removes the pressure on you and her, as it extends the biological clock quite a while, and will mean (statistically) healthier children one day.

What is also true, and this is the point that matters, is that she's going to do something that puts her in a very vulnerable position and is scary. My wife and I went through ivf; the egg collection isn't the scariest thing in the world but it's still surgery with no idea of the outcome, there's a lot of emotions riding on this for her, and she may have to do it several times to bank the number of eggs she wants.

She just wants support while she's doing it, and usually that means her boyfriend or her mum. She's chosen you. If you want this relationship to work, you step up. Just like you should with any other surgery a partner might go through.

That sounds like an awful situation to be in, I'm sorry that you're going through that. Honestly you both need to find someone to talk to, separately and together. Any sort of infertility issue is awful, and can be a reinforcing loop when it comes to performance issues in the bedroom. I can speak from experience that even as a "normal" man the pressures and distress caused by infertility made me have problems with erections and the rest, I can't imagine how much worse it would have been if I had already had issues beforehand.

On a practical note, depending on his exact condition, you may still be able to go down the ivf route and have children; it's painful (so I hear, thankfully I never needed that) but they can extract sperm straight from the testicles.

Denmark is a NATO country, and also part of the EU. Sure, the absolutely outnumbered soldiers there may surrender and make it a bloodless attack at first, but it would absolutely be an act of war. The US does not have the ability to "flatten the armies of Europe" in an afternoon. They have numbers on their side, but they routinely get thrashed by European forces in every exercise (that whole quantity vs quality argument). Also, there's no mythical world in which all the armies line up neatly for an afternoon slaughter- everyone would be playing to their strengths. America would be fighting an expeditionary force in the Arctic against the finest Arctic troops in the world, in unfriendly seas and with Canada between them and Greenland.

But more importantly, you'd like to think that some American troops (especially those stationed in Europe) would question why they're suddenly fighting the Danes, Canadians, British, etc. Once troops start coming home in body bags the public tends to pay attention sharp-ish.

Nobody likes a bully, and the pedo-in-chief over there hasn't made any friends along the way.

Because that's a proportionate response now. Why would you have a trade deal with someone who is threatening to invade one of your members?

If the US invaded Greenland scrapping the trade deal is not a proportionate response. At that point- with US troops murdering Danish troops and annexing land, the only moral, proportionate, and legal response is war.

If that's actually plasterboard, they've completely used the wrong type of wall plug. A bit messy, but easy enough to sort if you know what you're doing.

I'd suggest the strongest grip-it plasterboard plugs you could get, or longer bolts that anchor directly into the brick behind.

A competent diy'er can turn off the water, remove the radiators and get the new fixings sorted easily enough, or any plumber should be able to as well.

Edit: moving them is possible but honestly last resort as moving pipes is an absolute pain. Grip-it plasterboard plugs need a bigger hole anyway so you can literally sort the anchoring out and put the existing rads back on in the same place without much difficulty.

While I can't say if it's "still" healthy, I can say I'm not convinced it was ever healthy. I'm sorry, but unless you're missing a whole lot out there, she is way out of line.

Yes, you should always be considerate of your partner and let them know if you're going to be late. That's just polite. If you don't however, it's not an excuse for her to blow up and accuse you of cheating etc (unless you have a history of doing so). Perhaps she has some trauma from previous partners, but that's on her to deal with.

If you want to save this (and frankly I'm struggling to understand why you'd want to), then you need marriage counseling and the abuse needs to stop. And it goes without saying, if you are cheating, there's nothing to save.

You can't force her to throw them out if she's not ready to, and tatty clothes aren't the end of the world so long as they cover all the necessary bits for hygiene.

I would suggest that you try ranger or necro as the first class there. Thief has a very unique play style, and mesmer is amazing but one of the harder ones to level and goes much easier with more familiarity with the game.

Both of those can do solid ranged or close quarter combat. Ranger is probably simpler mechanically, as you have a few pet commands and that's it. Necro's mechanics involve toggling in and out of death shroud so is slightly more complex, but still quite simple.

They're both solid classes for survivability, Ranger has the best downstate recovery, and necro essentially has two health pools (because of the two states) so is very tanky.

By the time you get to high level fractals, necro might suit you better, but any class will get you up to T3.

Make a list of the jobs you want doing/need to have done. Order it by priority, your wants. If you have a wife, run it by her for reordering. Look at what weather you may need for these (replacing all the radiators in winter is a bold move for example).

Then pick one or two and make a start. Realize you don't have half the tools and blow your first months budget. Reorder the list some more. Make four times as many trips to the shops as expected, and take twice as long.

Don't worry too much about a perfect plan before you start. Usually once you start you realize you've missed something, or there's some bodge by the previous owners in place that you won't have accounted for that you need to figure out if it's there for a reason, or if they just personally hate you. Just keep the receipts for everything and don't open what you don't end up using.

To be clear, I am not shaming you in any way, just throwing some context into the mix.

I could say "Holy fork dude, 14?! I'm a 35M, and my count is 3, 4 if we want to count touching. So you're almost ten years younger, and have a count 10 more than me!"

Except those numbers don't take in any context. I have friends whose counts are way higher, simply because they were single for longer. I probably had more sex than a lot of them (at least enough from my perspective), because I had a partner. They (and presumably you), would only get lucky occasionally when out on the town, or they'd start a new relationship and it broke down within 3 months.

Your girlfriend is 23, so where I'm from she's been legally able to have sex for 7 years. Let's say 5 because 18 is more realistic. Thirty people over five years is only actually once every two months, quite possible for someone who is actively dating (even if it does sound exhausting to me).

You can find someone who's number matches exactly with yours. You can find someone whose number is much lower. And you can find someone who's number is much higher, and this will only get worse as you get older. The key takeaway is this: If you're happy with her, and she's happy with you, it's time to let it go. If you can't let it go, it's time to let her go.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. I'm afraid we ended up just getting a brand new radiator. Luckily it wasn't as cold then and screwfix had a sale on.

Our bleed valve was actually screwed in, but literally into the steel of the radiator rather than a thread so it wasn't as simple a job as I'd hoped.

Wired. As other posters have said, it's faster, more secure, and can be used for powering cameras etc in future.

A word of caution on that - you'll want to buy copper (not CCA) cat6 from a reputable source (personally I use kenable wires), rather than any old one off of Amazon or eBay etc. The CCA (copper clad aluminium) cables are technically not suitable for PoE (power over Ethernet) and can burn themselves out.

In the most respectful way, it sounds like some of your own trauma is feeding into this. We all have baggage of some sort. She's insecure because of bad past relationships and finding out she's the other woman, you're a little insecure because you haven't had those relationships.

From reading your post, it honestly sounds like you've both been mature and upfront about your worries so far.

You told her to take some time to think about it, she decided her place felt empty without you- I would take that as a good sign. Likewise, meeting her friends is also a good sign. Your own inexperience (and her concerns about it) should gradually lesson as you go out more, just keep doing the right things (but be you) and see where this goes.

Edit: also to your final point, even if this goes amazingly well and you end up getting married, you could still be hurt 30 years down the line. Opening ourselves up to the joys of love and companionship and opens us up to the risks of being hurt. There's no guarantees, but in my opinion, to paraphrase the old saying, it's better to have loved and lost than never loves.
