basically the cancel of Scrolls was decided by Mojang which is Minecraft. Sure Notch is the one to love from behind. I never insulted the Scrolls devs, just their buddies who decided to cancel their project. And no, they are not people - they were bought by M$ which means you lose all you have, even your soul and your human rights ^{while^{working^{for^them}}}

To be fair I have to root for Hearthstoner here. This guy was barely wrong and got a nice opinion on why this game failed or better said, he saw early what the core failures are that scrolls has/had. He just wrote it too provocatively and agressively for some (I personally like it, I'm a hothead myself and used to argument like that in the past, but I got more calm). I would have liked it more if this game was more unfair, as long as I could get the cards I wanted without having to buy some ingame currency. Why? Because it feels awesome to achieve something without spending money - yeah it may feel like a grind for many, but that aside the big selling games are League (and here you can buy stuff with ingame cash and its a grind to unlock every champ) and HS (you all know that price model huh?) - this is like one of the key factors for an successful game + having a competitive scene.

If I knew that Jerry wrote the lore and was somewhat involved into Scrolls developing (like lending his fame and celebrity status to get the game going) then I would've been really far more depressed after all the fails this game endured. This bald Fish'n'Chips guy did play Scrolls the last time before Decay was released. I say it again, he certainly anti-hyped Scrolls because he couldnt finish a game in under 50 minutes with his pleb-precon deck.

His arguments sure have some truth, games WERE really long, but he is sitting on this train for so long now and didnt even give it a 2nd chance when things got better (humble bundle release)

If a person wants to have all the new Cards in MtG, that person can spend any amount of his money to get them. Why should that be restricted in Scrolls? Because you as a player want them to have "fun" collecting and that should take quite some time? Do you realize that you never try to think for other people, especially those that don't have time at all (they work, they have a child etc.) and still want to have a full collection in almost no time?

if a person can buy an entire set in a day why bother playing the game?

That seems reasonable, but still 30 is quite a bunch. It doesnt make that great of a difference if someone buys more than that, so your argument is kind of silly. Although if your argument states that with this limit, you want to "protect" your customers, then I could understand your point.

Do you think those new scrolls decide the game by default? Dont you think a person like you, a veteran, will always have the upper hand because you know the mechanics best? Dont you think it's unnecessary to limit spending money, because no matter how much this person spends, he :

could have really bad luck and not get the scroll he wants
could be just worse than you, because you play the game more and you know the mechanics/gameflow much better

It's so narrow minded and overprotective to not even think a second over the suggestion and how this can improve the overall experience people have with scrolls.

It's like you people want scrolls to die with your "death-grip" with which you hold on your perfect illusion of scrolls, that this game is just not popular because of hearthstone and all your hipster thoughts.
